Ladies can you help? Esp. ones with uninvolved fathers...

When its time to write out our invitations I have no idea what to do. We are paying for the wedding on our own... the only help we have gotten is my mom and her bf paid for my dress and hopefully helping with the shower and fmil is paying for the favors and possibly the rehersal dinner. So I want to include them in the invitation.
Now the problem comes up that my dad is being a piece of crap right now and we havent seen him since July!! Well FH called him and asked him if he was even coming to the wedding and he said he didnt know if he would make it !!!! - btw he lives in LONG ISLAND!! so its not a distance thing. He is obviously not helping us in any way shape or form.
How do I write out the invitation???? Just my mom.. I dont want to include her boyfriend and I want to include His parents that are still together. Do you think that will look really stupid if my dad decides to show up?? but I think it will look even more stupid if I put his name and he dosent show up!!!

My Dad is Not coming to my wedding and is still alive...and he is not going on the invitation. Since you and FH are running the wedding I would put in the invitation...

This way we are still hosting but we are honoring our parents. I debated leaving my dad off but I was worried it would look silly since people know he's not dead although at this point he is almost dead to me. I am dealing with the whole I don't know if I can make it crap too. I envy girls with real dad because mine sucks and shouldn't be a dad!

his parents arent involved either -they dont know he is getting married. i guess you can say we both have had our share of parent issues

I thought that if you and your FI are basically paying for the wedding yourselves, its only yours and his names on the invite? My mom is paying for my dress but no parents names are going on my invites at all.

I felt like they would be offended if I didnt add their names. My mom is paying for the dress... she would proably help with more if she could afford it, and fh's parents are only paying for the favors as of now, but honestly they have been so supportive and understanding through everything and if it werent for them giving us this house to live in we could never afford this wedding so I feel its only right to add their names in some way.

Well we are going over to Lavendar Bridal in a bit to see their videos....so I better get in the shower soon...haha.....

Since we signed 12th Nite a few weeks ago, video is next on our list. The DJ is a friend but I still want him to come over ASAP so we could get a contract together and of course FH is lazy about that....

I bought a guest book & 2 presents for the ringbearers....

Thats about it. $$$$ is a real issue though. It stinks!

Oh I know tell me about it!! FH is obsessed with getting stuff almost paid off right now.. he dosent want to owe all this money the week before the wedding. I havent really done anything new... finally signed the contract with the florist after I saw my sample cp!! We just figured out the budget and somehow I managed to hit it almost exactly.. we are a few hundred under so now I want to add on some extras but FH wont let me
He wants to wait till the big day gets closer and see if any extra stuff pops up

yeah a great feeling lol I havent been shopping in so long!! I have no clothes for the summer lol. The shopping highlight of my week is food shopping
We are on a really tight budget now that X has to go to the wedding fund every week out of FH's paycheck. That way before the wedding everything will be taken care of
