a few days before Irene, there were a few brides who were getting married on Saturday and especially Sunday... wonder what happened with all of their weddings. i was thinking of them over the weekend but they never came back on toupdate us. i felt so bad, i really don't know what i would have done

two of the saturday girls posted that their weddings were fine but one of them had to change the time of the reception from 7pm to 2pm i think

When I saw my sample CP the flower guy was telling us about a girl who's wedding was cancelled and now has to pay for everything. That's so horrible

Yea i felt so bad! She is having her recpetion in Nov now but if that were me I would sue them for all the aggrivation. Dont wait until twohours before they knew enough advance!

My shower was sunday and was cancelled. My mom flew in from the west coast too... we are rescheduling it to the weekend before the wedding Becuase I won't have enough stuff to do........ aargh

Oh My that is AWFUL!!! I couldn't imagine... Our 'new' venue suffered some damage, & I'm worried that it won't be fixed in time & we're 11 days away! My heart goes out to your friend and the other brides that were impacted by Irene.
Was she a CLM Bride? My friend/ bridesmaid works there, & told me that they cancelled weddings on Saturday & Sunday... We cancelled our wedding at CLM for November 5th, just wondering if she was able to get that date...?

My wedding was scheduled for Sunday. We had to cancel our reception. We ended up tying the knot on Friday the day of our rehearsal and made the best of the situation. I wouldn't have been able to live with the fact if someone got hurt while traveling to my wedding on Sunday. We are planning to have the reception in the upcoming months. We ended up partying anyway on Friday night with our closest friends and immediate family. It was an amazing night and can't wait to celebrate again!

I'm so sorry to hear you had to cancel your wedding, but CONGRATULATIONS on tying the knot and making the best out of the situation!!! That's wonderful that you had an amazing night, and I hope you have an equally amazing second celebration when the time comes!
