Just wanted to share with all of you. I just went and had my eyebrows threaded...OUCH!!
Anyhow, if any of you are thinking of getting it done for the 'day of', I suggest doing so a week before...I have scabs. I actually bled... I 'm going to stick with waxing from now on!!

Re: Ladies: Eyebrow Threading
I'm sorry to hear, but I get my brows threaded all the time and never had any of those issues..when I did scab, it was because my eyebrows weren't wiped off from the makeup, etc. I would say don't be discouraged, try a new place!! As I said, I go all the time and never saw bloodshed!!

Re: Ladies: Eyebrow Threading
I've been doing it for two years and I never bled at all and I have extremely sensitive skin... Maybe you should try a new person! threading is great usually

Re: Ladies: Eyebrow Threading
Threading is the best in terms of sensitive skin. I know that sometimes I bleed when I am just plucking because my hairs are BIG! Try Nature's Touch - Natures Touch

Re: Ladies: Eyebrow Threading
I had it done a few times but I also had 'thread burn' on my face so I went back to waxing!

Re: Ladies: Eyebrow Threading
i've never had an issue either~ def. try a different place and make sure the person doing your eyebrows is someone you've heard is good. (each place has quite a few ppl, there's usualy 1 or 2 who are the best)

Re: Ladies: Eyebrow Threading
I had it done once and while I don't recall it hurting much, I was red for about a week so that turned me off big time.
Generally speaking though, I WOULD NOT try ANYTHING you've never done before a week before your wedding.

I think you should go somewhere else. The place I go to is very gentle I used to go to a different place where the woman was a sadist. I still never shed blood or scabbed though.

Re: Ladies: Eyebrow Threading
You probably need to try somewhere else.
I have a VERY sensitive skin and threading is the best. No bumps, etc..
Tip: I use neosporine after threading. No infection, no bumps, redness is completely gone in a couple of hours (takes a full day for me with waxing).

Ditto! I don't' even feel any pain. I guess maybe b/c I pluck every day and my skin is used to it. I love threading and think the results are much better than waxing.

I too have never bled from threading. I had mine done the day before my wedding only because I was too busy the day of and everything was fine.

Re: Ladies: Eyebrow Threading
It's not necessarily a reflection on the threader, because I bleed plucking, waxing and threading.
I just have sensitive skin I guess. I had threading done about a week and a half before my wedding and made sure it was early Sat morning so I could recuperate before the work week started.
And YES, it hurt for me. I let my brows go because the last time I had had them done, they were too thin. I wanted them to shape them nicely. So I was sitting there for a while.
