How about Kenneth Pool...He used to design for Reem and just started his own line. I bought his dress and they are beautiful

well i'm thinking that i'm looking for less expensive designers. If money wasn't an issue than i would definetely buy it.

some demetrios dresses look like reems, and believe it or not, I saw a few at Group USA with the metallic embroidery for less than $600

Here's one. It's not exactly a Reem, but what do you want for $499?

I don't know the actual designer, but I saw it at Group Usa. There aren't any in LI, just NJ, one in jersey gardens, and one in Secaucus. They have a lot of beautiful dresses, and their prices can't be beat. If you can make a trip to NJ, it's worth it.
ETA: they have a MUCH better selection than what's pictured on their site

They also sell on ebay - look up Reem Acra.

Out of China, good feedback.

Have you been to the Bridal Garden in New York City? They sell a combination of dresses that have been donated by brides (previously worn) and dresses that have been donated by various designers from sample dresses and to dresses that did not sell for one reason or another. The dresses are sold from 50% off and up. I bought my dress there, a Ulla Maija, and when I was there in October they had a lot of Reem Acra dresses (I tried on some Reem Acra dresses and they were gorgeous). If you tell them what you are looking for they will help you with finding that particular designer.

Here is the website link:

Most likely you will need to dry clean the dress and get it altered, but the Bridal Garden will direct you to sources where you get discounts. If you have any questions about the Bridal Garden send them to me via forum mail.

I would also subscribe to NYSALE.COM. They announce every week sample sales in New York City. I think Reem Acra's sample sale usually occurs in June. One bride here got her Reem Acra dress at the sample sale and it was a steal! Here is the link:

Good luck. Just keep an eye out for the sales and just try on lots of dresses.
