i just went for what was supposed to be my final fitting, the dress fit but was so tight the fabric was bunching in the back, so they are going to let it out a tiny bit. the rest was fine - except for the top. there are seams on the bust, one on each side, that run down the front of the dress, and the fabric there was soooo bunched up! part of the reason was that they forgot to sew the cups in - despite there being a note to do so. they also added boning down the very center of the dress to help smooth out some wrinkles, but the boning showed thru the dress, so they are going o take it out. i am very upset and praying that she can get the bust of the dress to be smooth and not bumpy. the bustle looked beautiful, though. please pray that my dress looks good by next tuesday - 12 days before the wedding!

Sorry you are having to stress about this so close to your wedding but i'm sure it will all work out. Seamstresses can do amazing things. Just keep on top of them and make sure it all gets done in time. No matter what i'm sure you'll be a beautiful bride

oh good grief...... it will be fine. I had a similar scare at a fitting 2 weeks before the wedding.... I came for a scheduled fitting and they couldn't FIND my dress it literally took 3 people an hour! I kept calm on the outside, but nearly had an out of body experience....
miracles can happen in alterations land in the one week prior to the wedding. Just keep agressively going to fittings, and all will be well in the end

Oh boy - I can't even begin to imagine how upsetting that is Just breathe though, I'm sure that this sort of thing is, unfortunately, common to them and that they'll have it fixed up perfectly by the time you go to pick it up!

Don't worry so much. It is funny how things all work out in the end. You still have time for all the wrinkles to be ironed out.
The day before my wedding at 5 pm (my wedding was a day wedding), a BM told me she lost THE RIBBON on her BM dress. At 7 pm, my cell phone (the main number all the vendors have to contact us) fell in the damn pedicure water..I ran to the verizon store. Not to mention picking up the motherof the groom's dress from the seamstress as 5 a.m. - the day of the wedding!!!
I wanted to damn wedding to be over by the time everyone gave me a heartattack.
If this could all work out..I think you'll be fine! :)

It will be alright. It is amazing what seamstress can do.
My sister's top was ordered with buttons instead of the lace corset but they sent the lace corset one and had to send the correct top. Well the second was smaller because they didn't take into account that it needed to be bigger because there was no more lacing up(lacing it up gave more wiggle room to play withit). The seamstress took part of the old top and combined it with the new one and you would never know the difference. Matched the details to each other.
You're dress will come out beautifully. Don't worry about it.
