Ladies, I need your Help!!

So tonight FH and my parents and I went out to dinner. We discussed our engagement party and what we were going to do. At first we wanted to have it at my parent's house, but with both sides of guests, it comes to 70 people and that won't fit. So my dad suggested doing a 3 hour cocktail party with passed hors d'oeuvres at a place. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking to spend no more than $35-$40 per person. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. I'm going to post this on 08 and BHB, so forgive me if you see it everywhere. I'm trying to do this for February, so I want to start contacting places as soon as possible. TIA!!!

I know a girl on here posted about having a cocktail party at Novita in Garden City. I have been there and it's a really nice place with good foods. They have hundreds of different types of wine and all other types of drinks.

I'm embarassed to say I literally bought groceries with it. I'm such a loser!

i has mine at the maine maid inn in jericho and for around that price we had a buffet. we had 80 people. i have pix in my album. the party was 4 hrs long.
