Im seriously about to have a emotional breakdown....I called my cousin to tell her of my wedding date and she tells me that the family reunion is that weekend and its going to be held in South Carolina....UGHHHHH i dont know what to do b/c now i dont think my family from OOT will be able to make it I already had a disagreement with my aunt b/c she claimed she would be in Mexico on my wedding day.Should i change my date??????

Does your entire family attend the family reunion???? It is a LOT easier to reschedule a family reunion than it is a wedding - you have vendors and things to account for. Can you speak to your aunt who 'runs' the family reunion and ask her to reschedule that???

Not my immediate family, but most of the OOT'ers...I can ask and see what they say i guess, so far ive only booked my RH, would i lose money if i change my wedding date??? Its not like im cancelling...

Why the hell do you have to move your wedding?? Why can't they move their family reunion???!!!
Call your RH and tell them you're considering switching dates. See what they can do.

I had to move my date cause of FSIL being away in college and the original date her finals were suppose to be. apparently moving a wedding is easier than to fly out for a weekend
the only thing that we had to add money wise, was that the new date moved into a more of an expansive month, we did ask RH to lower the pp amnt as we already gave them a deposit, they agreed
I think they should reschedule the family reunion...

I agree with seeing if they could chang the reunion or use you wedding as sort of a reunion. If they wont budge-How many people would be going to the reunion? If its not a significant amount of people, I wouldnt even worry about it.. Keep your date

i think they should definitely reschedule the reunion... they should definitely not have it that weekend if its your wedding... as somebody else said, why cant they just all reunite at your wedding??

wouldn't your wedding be a reunion??? people are so ridiculous sometimes..........Unless people have like flights booked or other things like that I think it's so rude of them to be acting like that...
on the other hand if they do and they planned the reunion before u started planning and u really want them there, then you might want to consider changing

This *****, I called my RH and they do have Aug 1st available, but FH said keep our original date b/c i should'nt change my wedding date around everyone else's schedule....im going to think about it more, thanks for the input everyone

ITA...but I would suggest to your family first that your wedding would be the reunion. You can ask them to move it here to NY and maybe take an extra day to spend with them the day before or after before heading on your honeymoon. Unless there are just too many people and not all of them would have been invited to your wedding anyway. Sorry if this confused you more. But it is easier to move a reunion.
