Re: Ladies Please Help about MY INLAWS!!!!

I think we all have IL problems. My IL problem is about my shower. You just have to put your foot down and tell them that this is the way it is.

Re: Ladies Please Help about MY INLAWS!!!!

I think you just have to put your foot down and do what you two want to do. Everyone always seems to have some input on what they want. They can do what THEY want when its THEIR wedding!

Re: Ladies Please Help about MY INLAWS!!!!

My brother's wife had a huge fit because she wanted us to invite her mother and sister. Well we did to keep the family peace. And guess what, neither one is coming. Her sister couldn't make it and her mother didn't even respond to my shower invitation or the wedding reception! Talk about rude!

Re: Ladies Please Help about MY INLAWS!!!!

I would tell them that it is my wedding and I am doing it my way. When you get married (if they are not already) then you can do it your way.

Re: Ladies Please Help about MY INLAWS!!!!

it doesn't seem unreasonable that sisters would want to dance with their brother at his wedding. How does he feel about it? Is it that you don't want to do a special dance dedication? Perhaps you can have them pick a song, and when its played he knows its their dance (but the dance floor doesn't need to be cleared). Or he can just make sure to dance with them before the nights over.

What are your objections and what are they demanding?

Re: Ladies Please Help about MY INLAWS!!!!

I like that idea, but it's not all they are demanding! It's everything. They are giving my sister a problem with the arrangements of my shower etc... and she's even at the point to tell them where to go. They want the DJ to announce that they are his sisters and bla bla bla. I am only dancing with MY Brother because my father has been deceased for 12 years. So they think it is only fair that they dance with him.

Re: Ladies Please Help about MY INLAWS!!!!

I'm sure your FH will dance with his sisters at some point during the reception. Are they requesting that they have a song dedicated to them for a special dance? Thats up to you and your FH.

Re: Ladies Please Help about MY INLAWS!!!!

sounds like they need to be put in their place, and your FH should be the one to do it.
