ladies who have thier showers.....

did you have children at the shower??

the reason i ask is all my friends are married and have kids all about 1 -2 years old and i dont want it to be romper room at my shower.....

Besides my FG and jr Bridesmaids there were only 2 babies there. We didn't even notice they were there!

I did not have my shower yet....but I can guarantee there will be plenty of kids running around. My sisters are throwing it and they both have kids plus alot of my cousins do too...

im not having kids at my shower. i know it sounds bad but theyre not invited to the wedding so why should they come to the shower?

kids were not invited, but someone who i didn't even know (MIL's friend) brought her 7 year old daughter with her because she couldn't find a sitter. it was fine though, she helped me w/ my presents, and was not one bit annoying. had she been an annoying brat, i would've been pi$$ed off.

I had 2 babies under the age of 1 at my shower and 1 that is my niece who is 2. One of the babies that was under the age of 1 sleep through the whole thing. The other 2 were no problem at all.

1st cousin's kids and our nieces & nephews are invited to the wedding... but only our nieces were invited to the shower...

HOWEVER...

some of FH's relatives decided to invite their kids to my shower and let them run around unsupervised while they socialized...

i didn't have my shower yet...but i dont think there will be children.

the guest list is already long and we have a milllllion kids in the family so it would just be wayyyy too crazy. im hoping the kids would just hang out with their dads and such that day. its only for a few hours.

ive been to showers with kids. and i remember going to showers when i was little.

We only had my BM's daughter there but then again i'm the first out of all my friends and age group in my family to get married so there are not many 'children' around. Had there been I would not have invited them, the venue was not appropriate for kids.

Its what I was afraid of too... and the most annoying part was that kids loves presents so they all tried to 'help' me open gifts that were on my lap... I'm like ' I've got it, could you sit down please...' Oh well.. it was annoying in the moment but in heinsight, the day was great and everyone had fun

i had absolutely no part in planning my shower whatsoever, it was 100% a surprise, but we had no kids. we did have 3 guys there! (my dad, grandpa and FH who was in town that weekend)

however, there are no 'kids' who would be invited... my youngest and only female cousin is 17 and a BM, and she was there.
