how did you do it? I REALLY want to make my Chloe a part of the day...seriously she is our child...FH even tucks her in when he leaves for work. she really should be there. do you think the RH would allow me to keep her in the bridal suite in a playpen or one of those doggie carriages that are enclosed?

I feel your pain, I really want Ollie to be part of our day too but there's just too much to worry about, there's no way I can watch her and I doubt the RH will allow it. I hope you find a way!

I've thought of this too. My problem is that I have 3! I doubt that the RH will allow Chloe to hang in the BS. It couldn't hurt to ask your BM though. My DOC suggested that I bring them to the RH (ceremony is there also) to take photos outside and then someone can drive them back to the hotel we are staying in that night. The problem is our hotel isn't pet friendly. I know how you feel though. My Shih Tzu's are my babies.

DH really wanted to, so much that he actually ASKED THE DEACON, who said no....we didn't want to bring her to the RH, it would be too long and too much. We compromised by stopping at DH's parents house (where Ali was staying, in between church and RH) and taking pictures with her for like 15 min....we just brought her outside and played with her (just me and DH)....can't wait to see those pics and that video, they're going to be great!!

i think if the church doesn't allow her to be walked down the aisle by the ring bearer...which they prob. won't...then i'll prob just buy the pet stroller and have someone bring her to the church in that and we'll take pics with her after.

Re: LADIES WHO INCLUDED THEIR DOGS ON THE DAY OF...
I soo was torn about bringing my baby too. But in the end I didn't bring her to the hall & this is why.
She gets nervous in new situations. There will be alot of people running around & in & out of the bridal suite. It is loud there, & the dj was going to be pumping, she would have been a nervous wreck & I would have missed half the party just checking in on her. & forbid if someone she got loose or a kids went in there when no was around & accidentally hurt her (she is small)
So in the end it was the BEST thing for her to leave her home. I had someone I know (who was a darling .. her groomer who is like the nicest person ever & loves animals) stop by & check in on her & here pup sis, give them food & rubs while we were out.
To compromise I brought her with me to the hotel to get in some of the pics in the morning & I even got her a dress. I finally have some pro shots on dvd so I will try & upload & post (though they are big files so i have to investigate where to post)
anyway that is my advice. If you want to enjoy your day & it isn't an outside wedding or people there that will act as a dog handler that day if you brought your pup. Leave her home. both you & her will be less nervous

You may not even be allowed to bring her in the church at all, our deacon said the dog could stay outside but not come through the church doors, no matter what (he didn't know what kind of dog it was...)

the church won't, I tried that. & to be completely honest the church ceremony & the pictures afterwards, & with all the family, gets pretty crazy & I was on cloud nine walking around. It would have been hard to keep an eye on my pup & plus who was going to push the stroller who wasn't going to be in the wedding party?
OHHH & imagine if she started barking Can't pretend it is a baby stroller then huh
