Thats what they told me to do! My dress also has champagne on it so I ended up getting champagne shoes that match perfectly! Otherwise I would have gotten the dyeables.

Re: LADIES WITH IVORY GOWNS...NEED SHOE HELP!
I have an ivory dress and my shoes are white dyeable. I will dye them after my first fitting when I will get the swatch. I've actually heard many brides with ivory gowns say that their white shoes looked perfect with their ivory gown, but I'm too anal for that.

i got my ivory shoes at dsw. they had a pretty big selection. if you haven't already been there it may be worth a shot. they're reasonably priced too!

mine were white dyeable and now they're ivory, though I probably could have left them white, but just in case...

I lucked out! I tried on my Stuart Weitzman's today, only so that I could get my hem done. And, it turned out that the color is almost exactly the same as the dress. The seamstress said to not even bother dyeing it.

Re: LADIES WITH IVORY GOWNS...NEED SHOE HELP!
I went to DSW and a couple others and had the same problem with shoes that were called 'ivory' - they just looked like white shoes someone had smudged with dirt!
I also had luck with the Diamond White from nycshoes.com. I have an Ivory Demetrios gown and the diamond white matched perfectly. I live in NJ so I was able to go there myself, but they have a reasonable return policy in case you want to order a pair from the wensite and return them if they aren't matching your dress. (As long as they don't look like they were worn you can return them).

my dress is ivory too, i think i am going to get these, they come in white and ivory...
Fairylise- Please tell me where you found those Kenneth Cole shoes.... those are the nicest bridal shoes I have seen yet!
I think I am going to have my shoes dyed if I cannot find an exact match.

Re: LADIES WITH IVORY GOWNS...NEED SHOE HELP!
i bought white shoes for my fitting and then will have them dyed.
Go to The Bridal Shoe Boutique 351 Old Country Road in Carle Place (near Roosevelt Field mall) They have a lot of reasonably priced shoes, can order shoes for tough to fit feet (that would be me) and are really helpful. They also dye the shoes for you and did a great job getting mine from white to ivory (doesn't look dirty)
Good luck DSW also has a few shoes. Not a lot but some decent ones. It is next door to Bridal Shoe Boutique so it is worth the trip. I bought 2 pair of shoes because both were such a good deal. I expect both to be comfy but you never know. Bridal Shoe Boutique will dye the ones I got at DSW too.
