Ladies...pls be aware of Allisa's Bridal in Brooklyn.

Let me tell you one thing..this place is very weird and koki!!!

They ended up selling my dream dress 'eve of milady' gown, which I purchased a week ago.

I was mortified. They simply called and left me a message stating that they could not sell me the sample gown, there has been a mistake. But, the manager...who was there that day, (o yea by the way in this store--everyone is the boss) GO FIGURE. Told me I could have the dress. I paid down half of the amount. When, I went the next day to pick it up, they said, some long story of how the dress was not there..it was in the stock room...blah blah...blah...

The many managers who I spoke to in the store, were ready to send me to my wedding without a dress...Scavangers.....

I feel they sold my gown. Can I make a report

Luckly this past weekend, I found the same gown, that fit better on me, for a less price that i purchased from a legitamite store.

Re: Ladies...pls be aware of Allisa's Bridal in Brooklyn.

My sister had a terrible experience there as well. She ordered her dress in Jan for March - they told her that as long as she rushed it that it would be in. The date came that they told her it would be there and it wasn't there. They gave her the run around for about a week. Considering that this was a rush - her wedding was March 31 - this was a lot of time to waste because she still needed alterations and would be out of the country on business the week before the wedding.
anyway - when the dress came in - it was 2 sizes too small. they had the nerve to say that my sister REQUESTED A SMALLER SIZE THAN SUGGESTED. this was absurd because the sales girl told my sister that she fell between 2 sizes and asked which one she wanted. my sister's reply was - whichever one will fit best. the sales girl chose the smaller one, which was 2 sizes smaller than the sample that she tried on - which actually fit pretty well. BEWARE - I'VE HEARD THAT STORES WILL DO THIS TO CHARGE YOU FOR UNNECESSARY ALTERATIONS. unfortunatley i wasnt there to tell my sister this and to check the measurements against the sizes. you would think the sales girl would make sure she ordered the right size.
my sister took the dress out of the store and had the alterations done elsewhere.
another bad sign was that another group of women were complaining in the lobby before we went in - something about losing their information.
PLEASE DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS STORE!!!!!

A friend of mine got her dress there about 2 months ago for her november wedding. She saidher dress is in and in AUg she'll go for her fitting. Maybe I should tell her to go there sooner.

That is good that you found the gown elsewhere.

Did they refund your money? If not, then I would write to the Attorney General in NY and lodge a complaint, or call CBS news - they have that 'shame on you' segment.

And I would report the store to the BBB anyway just for screwing you over.

wow! I'm glad it worked out for you! but report them to the BBB
these bridal salons are all such morons! When I ordered my dress, the woman told me they have to keep everything great, bc they know many brides hear various things from all sorts of wedding chats!

Oh my goodness- I am so sorry to hear that- Glad youy were able to find another one.

I actually ordered my dress from them as well. This post has made me a bit nervous to say the least. I am wondering if I should just take it to somebody else for alterations?

I ordered it in Jan. and I was told it should arrive in July.

I will def. report..them.

O..I am nervous too my mom ordered her dress from them, and they charged her for rush. But, did not tell her about the extra $ she would have to pay, the day she ordered the dress. I think, a group of psychotic..people run the shop.

They gave me my money back.
