Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Lands End? I am from Jacksonville, Fl and am relying alot on my future mother in law for the planning. We are getting married there in August of this year.

I went to a wedding there in October 2000. The place is beautiful, great picture opportunities. The food is fabulous!! I am getting married in October 20, 2001 at West Lake Inn which is another Lovin Oven place!!
Im sure you will be very happy at Lands End. I have not heard anything bad about it and when i was there for a wedding I thought it was great!
By the way, I looked at your profile and it said you were having a simple backyard wedding. I was going to ask you what kind of things you were planning because I always wanted a backyard wedding. But now I see that you are getting married at Lands End...guess the backyard thing was too much work huh?

I am getting married there in November. The place is absolutely beautiful. They have a website. www.landsendweddings.com. Although I haven't personally eaten the food, all I have heard is rave reviews about it. I am so looking forward to my wedding there. But, more importantly, I am so looking forward to being my sweetie's wife.
I went to a wedding there in Feb. and it was great. You will get to enjoy the outdoor area as well in August which is also beautiful.

What florist are you using and are they reasonable? What about a DJ, do you know any to recommend? I am getting married there in August and have so much to do. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

I am using Class Act djs. Very nice price and great work. www.classactdjs.com. Phone is 631-254-8303, speak to mike who is the owner. You might think about going through a 'one store' place. Wedding world is who we are using for invites, photo, limo, and pics. Much easier, nice work and only one check to write out each month. Phone of wedding world is 631-543-5700. I was at a wedding there this past October. It was wonderful, they had the top package...sushi,raw bar,ect. The food was great, and they offer you second helpings! The one suggestion I would make would be about the cordial room- they lost a lot of their guests do to the smoking availabilty there. It became the guy hang out after a while.They did not open it up until the end, but many people lost out on cake because they were not in the main room. You may want your band/DJ to make an announcement to your guests when cake is served. My fiance's family also has a lot of thier family parties there (baby showers, first b-days, anniversary parties, ect.) and we have always had good luck. I just spoke to Lia yesterday and my Fi and I are going to sign the contract on Sunday. I am so exicted. They both do amazing work.
We liked their work and their personalities, so we thought they were a good fit for our wedding.
