I REALLY like the Lands End for my wedding, but I was hoping you could give me some feedback about the food. I've read mixed reviews.

Re: Lands End
I've been to a LOT of weddings, and I think Lands End and Flowerfield (same owner) consistently have the best food.
I really wanted to have my wedding at Land's End but FH wouldn't budge on the Sat Eve, so it was out of our budget - I am surprised you've read mixed reviews!!

Re: Lands End
Lands End is amazing! My future Brother and sister inlaw got married there and they still talk about how wonderful the place was. The food is amazing. We are getting married at Flowerfields and yes it is the same owner, that is why we went with flowerfields, we knew the food was going to be excellent

Where did you hear mixed reviews from?
Everything I ever read or heard about Land's End was great. Our food was fantastic, we got many compliments and our food tasting was outrageous...our cake was yummy (they use Audrey's Bakery in Sayville) and the service was great. DH and I can't wait to go to a wedding there so we can be guests lol. If you want more info, feel free to FM me.

Re: Lands End
I looked at both Land's End and Flowerfield...I've heard great things about both. I might have booked Land's End but they only had late August left and that didn't work for us. Flowerfield was really nice too, except there was a very obvious, stuffy smell in the cocktail room. We were told it's because of all the exotic flowers...they can't put on the AC or dehumidifier when there aren't events going on b/c it will kill the plants. We were assured it wouldn't smell for our reception once the AC was on but we were kinda turned off. My girlfriend looked there 3 years ago and said the same exact thing.
I heard the food is great at Land's End and I like the indoor/outdoor cocktail hour they have. Also, I LOVED the pics in the album the girl showed us of the ice bar...I was def. going to add that on! I wasn't crazy about the bridal suite but that's not really the most important thing to me. The grounds are beatiful. I've only heard good reviews...best of luck!!!

My friend got married there. It was a beautiful venue. My FH and I said if we got married on LI we would definitely book them. Her wedding was really nice and the food was good.

Re: Lands End
Haven't gotten married there yet - but we have only heard WONDERFUL things about Land's End - food, service, atmosphere, etc. It was the first place we saw, and we loved it! Best of luck!
