Hi ladies- I am new to the boards and am looking at Lands End and Giorgios this weekend for my reception. Does anyone have experience with these places? Also, does anyone know of churches nearby each place? Thanks!!

Re: Lands End and Giorgios Brides
I am a Giorgio's Bride. The menu we are provided with is amazing! The amount of food is ridiculous! Giorgio's is family run so everyone is super friendly. They always remember your name and greet you personally. They are just super nice. They are also replacing the carpets, pillars, bridal suite furniture this year! Check it out. YOu cant beat the price. Plus they have a 'golf cart limo' that takes you and your bridal party to the beach and onto the golf course for pictures!

I am a future Land's End bride. I have also heard nothing but wonderful things about LE and it's so beautiful. My experiences so far with the employess have been great. We are getting married at LE by a Catholic priest. We decided to avoid the church because it's too far to drive on a Friday afternoon the week after Memorial Day!! Traffic wiould be ridiculous!!
I have also heard great things about Giorgios. Their menu looks amazing....very different.
Both are VERY different places though. Opposite styles. See what better fits your style and go with it!! Good luck

The mirrored pillows against the wall near the windows at the back of the reception room. At least, I think they are. I am actually having my ceremony at Giorgios

Re: Lands End and Giorgios Brides
I was a GIORGIOS BRIDE in 2003! Just be sure to ASK for the golf cart limo ahead of time, I never got it for mine and therefore, I was NEVER taken to the beach area for pictures, which was VERY disappointing for me. I told my photographer I wanted to do pix by the water and he said LATER, well, later never came and then it was all over. I wasn't aware i had to ASK for the golf cart limo ahead of time, otherwise it would have been ready and waiting to take us to the water. It also rained on my wedding day, so that didn't help.
The food????? FANTASTIC! My family members are STILL raving about it. They ask me how I found this place! I attended a wedding at Giorgios's back in 1998, FELL IN LOVE. So GIORGIOS IT WAS!
HIRE THE PIANO guy to play at your cocktail hour.....adds a very ELEGANT feeling to the mood of your wedding! Although Giorgios' is pretty elegant all by itself!
I would also recommend if you do Vienniese hour ( I know, I cant spell it) make sure they SERVE your cake to the guests at the tables......people told me they were waiting for our cake to be served and it never came, you had to get it yourself at the V hour. Who knew? I mean there was so many other desserts, but it would have been nice to know they all got a chance to have a piece.
GOOD LUCK
