Lanterns!

Ok so FH and I just got a bunch of lanterns to use for our E-Party centerpieces... I want to dress them up a little more than just throwing a candle in them. Anyone have any experience using lanterns or have any ideas to lend me??

I don't know how big the lanterns are or if these ideas will work but what about :

confetti
flowers
candy
pictures (so that there's a picture on each side - kind of like a frame box)
