My laptop died on me....need to get a new one since FH doesn't like to share his at all.
Any suggestions? I'm on a wedding budget and really did not need this expense now.

I know Dell is having a nice special bc I saw the commercial... FH does computers and he usually recommends Dell...
I'm not sure where the special is being run, but I would do a search for it!!

My laptop broke back in March, and I needed to buy an inexpensive one quickly... I got a compaq and I haven't had any problems with it. It was in the $400 ballpark at Best Buy.

don't get an HP ... they're not very good and have a reputation for dying often.

I love Sony Vaio- you can often get close out models at a reasonable price. Stay away from HP DH has had 2 HPs that have died in the past 3 years and the customer service is AWFUL!! In contrast SONY replaced my laptop when they were unable to fix the hard drive on a 4 year old computer. I had an extended warrenty but it had just expired and they replaced the computer anyway.
