Laptop problem. Any computer wiz's out there??

For some reason, the keypad on my laptop dont work anymore. I was typing last night and for some reason all the keys have become disabled. I shut down the system twice & I'm still having the same problem. Does anyone know how I could fix this problem??? I was on hold with Dell for an hour last night and they never picked up!

Did anyone else have a problem like this??

Hmm, I'm not sure if I can help. Try going into My Computer, then Control Panel, and click on Keyboard. HTH!!

Do you have a mouse on the actual keyboard or is it a touch pad?

If the mouse on the keyboard (usually a round circle in between the 'g,b,h' letters) doesn't work, then it means it's a problem with your keyboard. If you have a touch pad mouse and that doesn't work, then it might be a driver problem.

Have you gotten thekeyboard wet lately?
Have you updated anything on your system lately?
Did you drop the darn thing?

Perhaps a wire got loose inside. I know COMP USA charges almost $150+ to simply OPEN a laptop...see if you can go to where you bought it from if it's under warranty, or go to a local computer store, they'll be able to tell you in a few minutes.
