Does anyone know of bridal shops on Long Island that have a large selection of plus size bridesmaids dresses? My largest bridesmaid is a size 22, then a 16, 14, etc. We couldn't find anywhere that they could fit into any dresses? We're very disappointed. I need to find some before I leave Long Island???
With three maids you may be able to buy off the rack. I would try the shops where they normally buy. Lord and Taylor always has a large selection of evening and I believe they have plus sizes. You might also want to consider seperates for an easier fit.

I had the same problem Look into Alfred Angelo bridesmaids gowns. They come in all sizes. My girls ordered theirs from Lynbrook Bridal. Lilletttes carries Alfred Angelo as well. Good luck!!

my bridesmaids ranged from size 2 to 22 an dwe had no problems...I even saw 24s
Melissa, all of my bridesmaids, except one (who ended up being 7 months pregnant at the time!) were plus sizes. They were not really able to 'try on' the dress. One put it on and the rest just looked. We tried to pick a style that they all agreed on and was flattering to them. Turns out my one bridesmaid had to have the dress completely made from scratch because she was off the size chart. I got the dresses and alterations done at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and while I had a bad experience with their general attitude, the alterations were all done professionally and the girls all looked beautiful. Just also know that at a place like that, anyone over a size 12 had to pay extra for the extra material - a rip off but fairly standard. There was no way any of my girls could have bought off the rack. I have no experience with David's, so maybe you should try there, but I felt a little more comfortable taking them to a shop where the seamstresses were used to working with larger sizes...don't worry! They will look beautiful! My girls did!

We went to estelle's they have a variety of sizes as does Bridal Suites of centereach. I hope this helps
