LOL...Sorry to keep you ladies in suspense. I got home last night and tried to post the pics but they were too big. I was tired and not in the mood to work on them last night.
Larkfield Manor was amazing!!! We had a great time. Everyone was really nice and accomodating from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Fiance and I really love it. If it was in Nassau county we would have booked right there, no joke. The only thing making us stop and think is the distance for us and our guests. I have a lot more info to share but I'm short on time right now (on a break between classes). I'll give you more info later. If you have any specific questions just ask

Looks like you had a great time and you took some nice pics. Do you think you may want to book there?

Re: Larkfield Manor
FH and I need to think about it. If it was in Nassau county or closer to where we are I would have booked on the spot. We both loved it. We've looked at about 15 catering halls already and this was the first one that had everything we wanted. The problem is that it is far from us. Most of our guests will be coming from the Bronx and I don't want people not to come because it's too far away. What do you think?

Re: Larkfield Manor
Glad ya loved it!
I recall you saying that you have 50-60 guests. Since it's a relatively small group (and they're all probably really close to the pair of you), I'm sure EACH and EVERY ONE of them will travel willingly!
How far exactly is it from the Bronx?

I totally agree w/Jeanine. Sometimes it's hard to accommodate people. What works for you may not work for others. But, if they are your family and close friends they will join in your celebration no matter how far away it is.

How deep in Suffolk is Larkfield Manor? I think people will travel for a wedding regardless, as long as you give them enough notice (Save The Dates). The BX is still close enough to LI that people can still drive home in 1 or 1.5 hours or if they want to book a hotel they can. I am going to my god sister's wedding at the end of this month in DC and that is 4.5 hours from NYC. If you and FI love it, then I say go for it Maureen. You only get married once right?

Re: Larkfield Manor
Larkfield is off of exit 52 on the LIE. It took us about 1 hour with very little traffic from Queens. I checked mapquest and it says it should take ~50 min from his mother's house in the Bronx. I definately don't think that's accurate.
I know distance shouldn't matter but it just something to consider. We only have a small guest list 50-60 people. A lot of them are his family's friends so I don't really know them very well. I'm just not sure if everyone would be able to come. I don't want people to think it's a hassle and decide not to come. Also they say to expect 20% not to come and if that's the case the I won't even make my minimum.
