Larkfield Manor

Has anyone ever attended an event at Larkfield Manor? I booked there back in February but am now feeling that mabye I booked too soon. I had an acquaintance who was recenlty there and when I asked how it went she said 'You get what you pay for.' She wouldn't elaborate. Plus I haven't gone for my food tasting so thats making me nervous. I still have time to to cancel so I wanted to get some opinions. How was the food? The service? and the atmosphere? If anybody got a quote, what day and how much was it for?

TIA

I'm booked there as well and I've heard nothing but good about it. I did a ridiculous amount of research before looking. Honestly the atmosphere doesn't have the 'Wow' factor that some other halls may but I find everything else fantastic. I did my food tasting and it was AMAZING. FILs went to a wedding recently at one of the bigger more popular halls where the bride and groom paid $175 a head and they said the food at Larkfield blew that weddding away.

I've been working with George and Peter and they have been more then accomodating to anything and everything I want. I guess it depends what you're looking for. Before I even went looking I had a list of places I did not even want to go near because I wanted someone smaller and more initimate and Larkfield is able to provide that for me.

I made a similar list. I'm not into very fancy places and I wanted an intimate feel. I booked with them because of the decor and the staff was sooooo friendly. They weren't that much cheaper than the other places I looke into so I don't know why she would say ' You get what you pay for' I'm paying a lot and hope to get a lot. Thanks for the reassurance. Are you having your ceremony there?

I'm booked there, and everyone was fabulous helping me. They threw in a bunch of things like candelabras, ice sculptures, and little things here and there to make it more appealing. I spoke with Maryann and George and they were both great.

Yes I totally agree again, the service is amazing. They're very personable they really make you feel like they care about your day. That is what sold me. There are some pictures of the food from the tasting in my ablum as well but let me tell you I am the PICKIEST eater and I really really enjoyed everything.

We're booked at a church but because of some issues we still may switch and have the ceremony there.

we had our wedding reception there Sep 2007. I can't say enough about the people who work there. they do try to make you feel extra special and go out of their way to be nice and give you extras as someone else has said.

all my cousins who have gone to lots of weddings say mine was the best and still talk about the great food and loads of it. I don't know if they still do it, but the servers came around during dinner with platters of all the entree choices, offering seconds to everyone.

pics in my album and more in a slideshow in my video lib if you'd like to see.

Did you have the ceremony there too? Were you able to take a lot of outdoor pictures?

My sister had her wedding there and every hall I looked at, I compared to Larkfield. Nothing else came close (especially to the amount of food they serve!!!) to what they give you and how nice they are. The ballroom is beautiful, CH is beautiful, the outside is beautiful...the only thing is the lobby isn't amazing. It's a lobby...

I would recommend Larkfield to anyone!!! And the staff is great!!!!
