Can any brides that have visited or had a wedding there give me a little insight on this place. The price they gave me over the phone for a friday night was amazing and the menu blows my mind on the amount of food you get. Just want to know if its too good to be true or not.

I'm getting married there in 4 months and I can not say enough good things about them. The food is amazing, and the service is fantastic. Definetly try to negotiate with them, they'd much rather have your business than lose out on the opportunity.
They offer 6 different meals that your guest choose, and the offer seconds on everything. Check out my photo album title ' my venue' I took a whole bunch of pictures when I went for my tasting

FBIL got married there 5 years ago, and it was a great wedding!
the food was amazing, the service was perfect. and we overall just had a great time. To be honest i dont remember any staff, except our waitress who kept bringin us our shots and the second and third helpings of entree.
we had a great time. Even though i heard they were renovating the facility im sure it will be fantastic

I'm having my Feb 12th wedding there. Everyone at Larkfield is nice and really want to make the brides happy. I already had my food tasting and the food was AMAZING... both sets of parent have very different tastes and everyone loved the food. I think its a great option for a wedding.

Re: Larkfield Manor Help!
We've booked my daughter's wedding for October 2011 there.
So far, we've *LOVED* dealing with them and everything I ask Harry about, he says is 'no problem'.
I talked to him last week about those renovations we heard rumoured and he said that they have no firm plans yet on when they want to do them, but when they do make a decision they would not book any parties that would be affected. So, I wouldn't let those future renovations deter you.
We fell in love with the space and the staff and the price was phenomenal.
We're doing a tasting in March and can't wait!

Yeah, that's one of the drawbacks if your looking to be the only wedding on your wedding day. It might not happen on the day you picked, or you could request a date that isn't holding another wedding. They do do a great job on timing that if there is another wedding that day, the second wedding will not begin until your guests are seated in the reception room. When we were told that, it gave me some reassurance.
But I wanna give you a heads up, if you plan on getting married on 11.11.11 like your profile says, there will be another wedding that day. My FH's friends sister is getting married there that day.
HTH and hopefully we'll add another LM bride

Thanks so much for the info....I haven't decided on a November date yet but of course we would like to do 11-11-11 but it is not important....I cant believe how much food choices they give during the cocktail hour...I love the different 'stations'

omg i know!!!!!! FH and I went to one of their showcases and I was so stuffed! Just wait for the tasting! Make sure to bring 4 additional people with you and FH because they give each of you a different entree option on the menu. Between tasting every plate, plus eating my own, I couldn't walk

Re: Larkfield Manor Help!
I'm new to this wedding planning and don't understand why you get a tasting AFTER you book them....shouldn't you know what your food is going to taste like before you book the venue? I mean I guess its fair cause then everyone would be going for free meals all the time but I'd like to do a tasting right away not months later when its too late to find another venue.

I'm not sure if you have to book before you can go to the tasting, but you can always double check. I never knew about it until I saw a bunch of girl on the 2011 boards talking about they're tastings, so I called to inquire.
