Re: Las Vegas Bachlorette Party
I'm going to Vegas in March just for fun, and Bellagio is discounting rooms until May. I am paying $143/night to stay there!
By 'book through' do you mean travel agent? Do you need one for Vegas?

No, I just mean - orbitz, expedia, the hotel directly.

Oh I see! I went to Bellagio.com directly. It gave me the best deal. And also, you can cancel 48 hours prior without penalty.

Where did you/will you stay?
Who did you book through?
As someone who visits Las Vegas whenever I can I can tell you to book your hotel through the hotel itself and keep checking on line for discounts. That way if you see the hotel you are booked at had a rate decrease or has a special going on you can call and get your rate reduced. I do this everytime we go to Vegas. The last time we were booked at MGM Grand for 7 nights at a total including tax of $979. Kept watching for specials and finally rebooked for the entire 7 nights @$749. including tax. You can also go to smartervegas.com to check for promotions and specials and then call the hotel with the promotion code you would like to book with and they will do it. Have fun! I JUST LOVE, LOVE VEGAS!!!
P.S. MGM was wonderful and we have also stayed at the Monte Carlo and Bellagio - all are MGM/Mirage hotels which we love.

I am looking into MGM and Mandalay Bay as of now [so far good prices there] - any views on those?

As I said we just stayed at MGM this past August for 7 nights. The hotel is huge but there are signs everywhere so it is easy to navigate and it is very clean. Just be sure they don't want to give you a West Wing room because those rooms are small and the bathroom is kind of open. Mandalay Bay is very nice but far south on the strip...you will be more centralized at MGM.

My BA party was in Vegas. We stayed at Hard Rock Hotel, and it was fantastic! You have to see the Zumanity show; it's great! Check out my album from there: http://www.liweddings.com/community/album/?ID=15291

I always book through expedia, no problems whatsoever. As far as hotels, i really like the Bellagio and Venetian but they are kinda pricey

Re: Las Vegas Bachlorette Party
I went for my BF's bachelorette last year - We stayed at the Hard Rock.
Vegas is...crazy. We had a great time, it was the first time I'd been there.
Loved leaving a club to go home...in the sunlight!

I've been to vegas alot. I agree with the other posters about booking hotel and flight separately. I would recommend the Bellagio (well worth the money) Venentian and Mandalay Bay.

Re: Las Vegas Bachlorette Party
my friends and i went to vegas for a bach. party this past june and we stayed at MANDALAY BAY. there were 6 of us and we booked a suite with two rooms (2 queen beds and one king). the suite was AMAZING. the hotel is beautiful. and the best part about it was the adult-only pool. its a small pool at the hotel that has a club vibe....and you can go topless if thats ur thing lol. its a bit of a hassle to get a lawn chair though because there are so many ppl hanging out...but if u make nice with the pool boys/waiters they'll hook you up for the whole time ur there. and China Grill is right in the hotel and it so good! the only part that was a bit of a downer was when we first got to the hotel our suite wasnt empty yet (some 'high roller' was taking his sweet time checking out). they tried putting us in a different suite (which didnt have the right # of beds) and we had to fight with the concierge for a good 30 minutes before they were willing to kick the guy out of our room. grrr.... anywho. fun time overall.
i also like Ceaser's hotel...because of all the shopping...the Venetian, and the Bellagio.

Re: Las Vegas Bachlorette Party
LOVED Mandalay Bay. Next time i would either stay there again or at the Venetian.
Hard Rock was also nice and had a great pool and the club there was fun, but the casino is really small. I just like the feel of the more grand humongous hotels. Its also not on the strip which isnt too big a deal cuz its a 2 second cab ride, but again, i like the feel of being surrounded by all the other hotels and the lights and that whole atmosphere.
ETA: def book through the hotel directly, like someone else mentioned, if the rates drop just call them and they will change it for you. Our rate went down to almost half of what we booked it for!

Love Mandalay Bay -
But if you are going to Party and hang by the pool I recommend the Palms or Hardrock it is like Spring Break - Hotels itself I am not impressed but simply to party -
But Mandaly Bay is my favorite -

I was in vegas a few weeks back and stayed at the MGM. It was really nice, but the rooms weren't amazing or anything. We booked through vegas.com. We ended up getting a better price directly through the hotels website. they were having a special so look around

Re: Las Vegas Bachlorette Party
I usually book thru the hotel.
FH has his bachelor party out in Vegas, they stayed at the Mandalay Bay. We have also stayed at the Mirage and the Flamingo. I once stayed at the Excalibur, but that is more of a family type of place.
Zumanity would be a great show for a party! Also, most hotels have their own spas. The one at the Mirage was really nice, I had a fabulous massage there once. Flamingo's spa is not as fancy but is still pretty nice anyway and had just as decent amenities.
When are you going? try to go when the weather is warm enough to use the pools, so can you push it close to your wedding?
