Las Vegas Hotel Poll!

I need help choosing a hotel. They are about the same price.

I liked Aladdin - Although we booked Mirage - I think you will like the Aladdin...

I voted for Aladdin although I never satyed there, it's the one hotel (of the choices) that's right in the middle of the strip!

I'd go for Mandalay Bay first, Hard Rock second and Mirage third...I know they weren't on your list, but I don't really like those and thought I'd give some other suggestions.

I've never stayed at any of those, but, I would choose the Aladdin. I believe it the newer of the 3 hotels. My girlfriend stayed there and she like it.

We have been to MGM Grand and Bally's

Definately NY,NY- newer rooms. I have stayed in all three and that was the best. (I live in LA so we go all the time)
Get the roast beef sandwhiches at the deil- they are the greatest@!

same here
they are mostly families
also the Bellagio..... i stayed there for a week last summer
half the room is the bathroom
it is beautiful...

I think NY NY seems nice. I stayed at Mirage in July but thought NY NY was nice as well. I did not see many families in Vegas so you shouldn't have to worry.

I voted for Alladin because I was never there. I stayed in Treasure Island before, and it was nice, but they are recently undergoing some changes and when we were there in February, they took away the pirates show and painted the building some ugy color. My favorite place is Luxor. Definitely check them out. We were on a tight budget for our honeymoon and we were able to get a suite with a jaccuzzi tub on the 25th floor of the pyramid, overlooking the strip. It was the best!! They were reasonable! And the inside is gorgeous. So much to do and the restaurants in the Luxor were all amazing! And they are connected to Mandalay Bay, which was also a great place to hang out at night!!

The only hotels in our budget are the ones I mentioned. We have been to Vegas before. We would love to stay at one of the five star hotels, but we can't so tha't that.

Actually, I think we are going to go with Treasure Island or Aladdin. It seems silly to stay at NY NY if we are from NY.

Yes this is true! We were going to go in March and when i talked to my BM who lives there she said not to stay at Treasure Island because of the changes right now!
So i would pick one of the other 2....

DO NOT STAY AT TREASURE ISLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got back from there last week and that place is a MESS!!!! The pool is only 3.5 feet the entire length of the pool - NO EXAGGERATION!!!!!!! I got in and it was up to my thighs and that's it. The pool was a big reason I wanted to go there..because they described it so nicely..it was a big F-@!$&)@$!&ing joke!!!! And you had to walk through the entire hotel to get to the pool..sucks when you're soaking wet ;/

I stayed at the MIrage and the pool was the same there so I am assuming that most pools in Las Vegas are one height. Also, because the casino is a large part I think the pool is far from each of them. Fashion, just so you know you spend such a small amount of time in your room no matter where you stay you will have the best time.

That does suck. Neither of us are planning on going to the pool since we are going in December. Does anyone know how long they will be doing work on the hotel?

James'pokey, yeah I know. We went to Vegas last December and all e did was sleep in our room. But last time we stayed at the Stratosphere. It wasn't bad really, but we want to be more in the central part of the strip.

Hmmm, thanks for the input ladies. I just decided that we will go to Aladdin. The location is a plus added to the fact that they are doing work at Treasure Island made the decision. That is so sneaky. There is nothing on the site that says they are doing construction. Bastards. LOL!

I see you made a decision, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents anyway. We stayed at the Flamingo because it was very affordable and right in the middle of the strip and easy walking to all hotels. It was a nice hotel with one of the top 3 pools in Vegas. I would not suggest the Treasure Island due to the construction and 'kiddie' feel (although go to Kahunaville there for drinks and watch the bartenders in action). I think if you're choosing between Alladin and NYNY, it's based on what kind of person you are. Alladin has a younger feel and a lot of shopping. NYNY feels older and, I think, the best set of bars in one hotel. We had a great time at cayote ugly, the 9 fine Irishmen had live celtic entertainment, and I can't remember the name of the 3rd bar, but it was a piano bar where the people will play your requests and everyone sings along. Hope that helps.
