it looks like we are going to Las Vegas in mid October for about 5 days! it will be our only chance of a holiday this year!
But, we alays wanted to go to Las vegas!
So, any advice I can get from you would be really helpful! Where to get a good deal for tickets? Where to stay? where to eat? what to see? Where are the good pools? anything we need to buy tickets for in advance? What to pack? how to get to hotels from the airoist? Anything you wanna share!

Mandolay Bay and Monte carlo have nice pools
how funny! I am going to Mexico in mid october but originally we were going to go back to vegas! and I probably would have been there same time as you! what days are you going....
eat if you can at Zefarinos, its an italian restaurant at the Venetian which is run by Scotto bros. and then go on the gondala ride outside of the venetian at nite
there is a great roller coaster at the NY NY hotel
I have heard great things from the ladies on here about 'O' show, we are going back to that when we go back to vegas
Visit the Forum shops at Caesars and the Gardens of the bellagio

There is a great restaurant on the top of the Stratosphere, don't remember the name though.. the floor revolves slowly, that you can get a great view for miles out, and the strip looks so pretty up there too!! Venetian has great stores too!! and a gondola ride!!!

We are going the first weekend in Vegas.
Just got my show tickets for 'O'. Crazy expensive but almost everyone likes it so Im hoping its worth it.
Ive heard good things about all of the Bellagio restaurants as well as the Eiffel Tower restaurant in the Paris Hotel.
If you are looking to stay more on a budget, Frommers Budget Travel just did a great article about going to Vegas on a very limited budget. I cant imagine doing the itinerary they suggest but they have some good suggestions.
I have no idea what the pack but the high temps in Oct seem to be about 80 and the lows about 60...so that is quite a difference.

that rest. is called Top of the world. Make reservations and try to get there at sunset..amazing!!!! I'd skip the grand canyon tour..IMO it wasn't that impressive. We saw circus du soleil...AWESOME!!! show. Dolphin Habitiat by Segfried and Roy great exhibit at Mirage. Madame Toussaus was fun at Ventetian. Gondola rides are a must there too!!! Night life Studio 54 is fun at MGM, and V at the Ventetian. Of course the fountain show at Bellagio..every fifteen minutes at night.

Try Jet Blue, it's only a month away so you might not get a good price! I love Vegas, I've been twice in the past 3 years. The Mirage has an awesome pool, so does Paris. Paris is right in the middle of the strip. Try travelscape.com and expedia. com,or travelzoo.com, you might get last minute specials. Also if you were looking to see a show while you were there, see O, perfromed by circ dis ole(sp) the show is in the Belagio, one of the nicest hotels in Vegas

We just got back from Vegas a few weeks ago. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and they have a nice pool. Things to do:
Statosphere rides
Ny, NY rollercoaster
Get tickets for 'O' ( I got them on Bellagio's website before we went)
Forum shops in Ceasers Palace
Have a drink at Red Square in Mandalay Bay. It is a Vodka bar and the bar is ice. Pretty nice place.
I also recommend visiting some hotels. My favorites were Bellagio and Venetian.
There is so much to do there. We also got a great deal on renting a car for 20 bucks a day. It cost 8 bucks each way to center strip from Mandalay and we were always all over the place everyday so the car really paid off for us. If you want the name of the rental place, let me know. The hotel was double the price

I saw O and Mystere, and I loved mystere. It is a bit cheaper and is at Treasure Island, definityl get tickets before you get there though.
I also loved Treeasure Islnd, and I would recommend staying there, great prices, on he smaller side though but I loved it. I also stayed at the MGM, nd they ahve a great pool, it has a hugh lazy river, but the hotel is huge.
Definitly go to the top of the Eiffel tower at night, and wait for the Water show at the Bellagio. I also lke the Forum shops and the animatronics at the end of the mall, nbear the Cheescake Factory.
