they're evacuating alot of places, it was just on tv and somebody at work said it...im gonna see if i find info online, does anybody know

I just saw the monte carlo hotel is on fire, so sad i stayed there when i went there.

ok seems like it started in monte carlo casino but its spreading and alot of smoke so they're evacuation other places near by. Its bad but some ppl just made it seem worse

LAS VEGAS -- A three-alarm fire is in progress on top of the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino at 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. S.

The blaze began shortly after 11 a.m. Friday.

Dark plumes of smoke can be seen, and fire crews are en route to the scene.

The blaze began at the top of the hotel and is spreading down. There are 32 floors and about 3,000 people staying at the hotel.

The fire is burning in three different parts of the casino.

Guests were spotted looking out of hotel windows, and guests are gambling. There has been no evacuation.

Debris is falling from the blaze, and it is catching other parts of the hotel on fire.

Las Vegas Boulevard is closed from Harmon to Tropicana Avenues.

The fire appears to be spreading, and traffic in the area is backed up.

There is no word on the cause of the blaze or whether or not there were any injuries.
