Did you look up to see what's playing the weekend you're going to be there? You can do Circ-de-sele (spelling), Blue Man, any Comedians, etc.

Re: las vegas questions
There are plenty of comedy shows that are affordable and your typical Vegas show with showgirls. Check out what's playing the time you are there because there might be special shows going on. While there, they also give out lots of discounts for shows so pick up one of their coupon books.

Amazing Jonathan was pretty cool - a little rauncy - not as expensive as the others - go for the cheaper seats...if you get the vip section you will be subjected to public humiliation by the comic.
If he is around....Wayne Newton puts on an AMAZING show.

Definitely see 'LOVE' by Cirque du Soleil!! It is set to the Beatles music and is spectacular!! Any seat in the house is great!! I believe it is at the Mirage!!

Re: las vegas questions
there is a discounted box office there close to the new mall. They sell discounted tickets for all the shows on the stip. good luck and have fun!
O was amazing! We saw Penn & Teller last time and it was very good! There is a tix place by the Walgreens on the strip that offers 1/2 price tix for shows that night.

What do you consider ' affordable'? Of all the cirque shows Mystere is my favorite, it is at TI and they have a special right now. You can also go see Mac King .. magician at Harrahs. Sign up for a rewards card and I believe you get a discount for the show.. like real cheap. Blue man group is a great show for as little as $70 bucks. but.. if you like broadway shows at all.. The Phantom of the Opera is a MUST. Ive heard from people that have seen it around the world, it is the best production in Vegas.
By the Hawaaiian marketplace located on the strip, they have discounted tickets for a lot of shows.
btw.. George Thorogood is at the House of Blues this Friday and there is a special Aerosmith concert as well.. benefit for Lily Claire.
dont forget to go to the free things... Carnival in the sky at Rio and of course see the conservatory at Bellagio.
I have hundreds of vegas pics if anyone is ever interested in seeing them, Id be happy to post. Its just kinda fun and gets you in the mood! :)

Re: las vegas questions
I'm not completely sure about affordable shows, but if you or any of your friends work for a large firm see if they have access to the Plum Benefits. It sometimes has discounts to Vegas shows.
Also, I'm not sure if you're into the bars and clubs, but you can buy party passes on Ebay. You end up paying $2-$5 for a free admission pass which is usually worth $10-$20 at the various clubs.

Re: las vegas questions
I Vegas.
Are you going with girls or FH? I went there for my bachelorette and we didn't wait on any lines or pay for any drinks, and we got pulled into VIP every night just because we were girls. It was fantastic!

Ditto..it's probably the most popular show there! I stood on standby for 2 hrs...and didn't get any tickets!!!! When FH and I go back to Vegas, we're booking all shoes early!
