well the thing is my sister had it done and shes so happy--i want to do it before the wedding cause im so sick of glasses and contacts...should i do it? and its $$$

It's defintely pricey.
FMIL had it done and it was 100% successful.
Three coworkers had it done....one came out 100% better, another is OK, but still needs reading glasses and the other needed to go back again and isn't 100% yet either. I guess it all depends.
FH plans on going after the wedding too.

I had it done last April... One of the best things I've ever done. I had NO PAIN...just discomfort for a few days after. Some people even heal faster than I did (for me, took a good 2-3 months to feel 'normal'). My Uncle had it done at the same doc (in NJ) and he recovered in approx. 1 week and was 100% in 1 month. Go for it!!! You can also do 0% financing- if you pay it off in 12 months... I paid 1/2 down and financed the other 1/2 and paid off in a few months...

I did, Dr. Basilice in Hauppauge. LOVE it. It's been a year and a half and I forget i got it done b/c my eyesight is so perfect!

my mom had it done last year and she said it ws the best thing she has ever gotten.. she isnt big into spending money on herself like that but she said it was totally worth it.. and especially gettting older she says it helps her soooo much!

I would definitely consider it after we buy a house. I never really thought it was something I wanted until I went to the eye doctor a few months ago and we had a really hard time finding a prescription for my contacts. I'm kind of in between prescriptions. So he ordered me two different prescriptions. I still have a hard time focusing sometimes. But it's really nice to know that there is another option besides contacts and glasses and it has a fairly high success rate.
