I know Santina posted about this being her last christmas at home, but what about last b-day???
It hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday on the train.. i was like holy crap.. this is going to be my last b-day as a single woman living in my parents house...i started crying like a big baby yesterday..
I am the only person not looking foward to that???

I know it's upsetting right now. But just remember, you're going to have all new experiences and be able to create your own traditions! Think about waking up on your first married b'day and opening a card from your husband that states 'For my Wife on her birthday.' It will be amazing!

Aww hun dont be upset.... you family will still be around on your birthday. Just think of it this way, you will not be at your parents house but they will be coming to your house for your b-day. I think about not being at any more for the holidays and events but i guessi just look foward to staritng my own home and my own family. I know my family will always be there for me, as I will always be thete for them....NO MATTER WHERE I LIVE!!!

I was feeling the same way u were a few weeks ago and the girls on this site really came through and helped me understand that what I'm feeling (and what you're feeling) is totally normal. When you feel a little down just think of all the wonderful things u have to look forward to. You'll be starting your own family and making a home with them and sharing so many new experiences with your FH. and keep in mind that just because you're getting married doesn't mean you're abandoning your family - i've heard that people have an even stronger bond with their parents and siblings after they get married.

That is true, Mt bro got married this past november and when he was living at home we never saw eachother. we litterally had to make plans to go out as a group so we can actually hang out.. now that he is married, and he moved out my fiance and I make it a point to go to hios house every friday and hang out with them. we have dinner play cars.. all that good stuff. Honestly i like it more this way!!!

Re: last b-day
My Bday falls around Labor Day and my parents always go to Pennsylvania to help out with the Polish Festival during the Labor day weekend and the weekend after. So my bday does not get made a big deal. My FH has spend my bday with me since we started dating. Hopefully he'll start making a big deal out of my bday more when we're married.

Re: last b-day
I think about not being with my parents after I'm married and sometimes I get really upset. I really am going to miss not coming home and being with my parents. I had a very hard time in college being away from home. I know that this is different and I'm starting a new life together with the man I love, but I think it will be an adjustment piece for me and will probably call home quite a lot in the beginning.
