Last Dance Song???

Working on my song list for the band and can't decide what I want played as the last song of the night. I am sure there are posts on this already so if there is - please bump for me. Or let me know what you had played last at your wedding or are going to have.

we did NY, NY then 'Where Everybody Knows Your Name' (Cheers Theme). It was so fitting for us~~

we used I've had the time of my life from Dirty Dancing... I love that movie!! I also thought it was an appropriate song for the last dance.

LOVE IT! What a great idea! I swear I have watched that movie 1000 times and can watch it 1000 more!

Really? I've been to a lot of weddings this year and mine was the only one that used this song.
I made DH sing to me like Patrick Swayze does in the movie .

Anyway, there are only so many songs out there, and its really hard to be original - pick what fits you the best, or what you imagine your last dance to be.

'Into the Mystic' by Van Morrison...

I wanted to do 'Seasons of Love' from Rent by our firends did that for their wedding and alot of the same people will be at ours...

We have many Military veterans in our families - so we used 'I am Proud to be an American' by the American Idolists (off one of their hits albums). For us, it is a special song, being that we are both connected with the EMS/Fire communities as volunteers.
