LAST INVITE QUESTION!

LAST INVITE QUESTION!

its in all caps so aside from that:

A)
SUNDAY, THE TWENTY-FOURTH OF OCTOBER

OR

B)
SUNDAY, THE TWENTY FOURTH OF OCTOBER

OR

C)
SUNDAY THE TWENTY FOURTH OF OCTOBER

IS THERE SUPPOSED TO BE A COMMA AFTER SUNDAY, AND IS TWENTY-FOURTH SUPPOSED TO BE HYPHENATED?

I think C is right. You know what I did? I went on invitation websites and chose an invite, plugged in our info and checked out what the 'proof' was.

same here...

ETA: mine says

Friday, the sixteenth of July

so I would choose option B... but make the date lower case and i dont think the hyphen is necessary either

mine has a comma. it says,

'Saturday, the second of October'

Re: LAST INVITE QUESTION!

Put the comma; it separates the two phrases. I think when you say ,'...the twenty fourth,' it's a modifier and needs to be separated with a comma.

I've been out of school for 4 years, so my terminology might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure about the usage.

I know the comma has to be there, it was just a matter of the hyphen or not.....

I google twenty fourth and it comes up with a hyphen! I guess thats what I will do!

Personally, I would hyphenate twenty-fourth
