Last Minute alterations (or: are they even necessary?)

Yeh, so I get married the 26th and don't havea person to do alterations :( So many horror stores and nightmares about not fitting in the dress, coupled with hating to ccold calllike that... I DID have a name but she never answers so....

Can I get by w/o alterations? (Providing the dress isn't too tight)

And does anyone have the name of a dependable seamstress who might be able to take me in last minute? JBooth, i'm not sure if I'm near Wantaugh but I'd love your seamstresses name! Or anyone else's.

i dont have any names...just the bridal salon lady im using. phyliss from bridal elegance in dix hills (i brought in my own dress to her). did u try a search on liw? i feel like girls have posted names before.

if you are comfortable in the dress...and it fits well...like not too tight or too loose...it should be okay. u just want to make sure its not falling off (or youre pulling it up).

the only other thing....is it the right length. practice walking in it with your shoes on and make sure ure not tripping over the dress.

and lastly...just think about if the dress has a bustle or if u need/want one.

u still have time to get alterations done if u need them.

Maria's Perfect Fit in Williston Park- she is doing two of my bridesmaids dresses and my jbm. The bridal shop botched one dress so much- top was 3 sizes larger than the bottom- and she has fixed it beautifully- you would never know!
