LAST MINUTE GIFT for MIL & FIL?!?

OMG please help! I have NO idea what to get my in laws for Christmas and we only have three more shopping days!!!! (Friday is my b-day, so no shopping!) I'm making a wonderful goodies gift basket for them, but they got us SO MUCH STUFF for Christmas already and I really want to get them something nice in addition to the edible goodies! Craig and I are just stumped on ideas so I would love to hear any ideas you all might have for us? They love coffee, we were thinking maybe a really nice new coffee mug set, since they just bought a new machine last year....... They also just had their entire kitchen renovated this year - so maybe something new to complement that? I just don't know, and I feel like the worst daughter-in-law bc I can't think of anything at this point! Please help! TIA!!!

If you want to do something for the kitchen, what about making a basket with an apron, dish towels, oven mitts, a rug for under the sink, etc... You could always go the safe route and get them a GC to heir favorite restaurant.

if they're into classic movies, one of the gifts we bought was the dvd Gone With The Wind...it came with four disc's and a reproduction of the original program...

I don't know if they exist, you could check the internet, but maybe a coffee of the month club. Do they enjoy cooking? If so a nice cookbook is always great. Gift Certificates are always nice too.

I say GC for a weekend away at Montauk Manor and include a dinner, or a GC To Gurney's Inn.

thanks ladies - these are really helpful! I was thinking maybe a nice gc, since they like going out to eat. Shana, what's Gurney's Inn like? I've never been there.

Don't buy GWTW!!! They've just remastered it and will re-release the DVD early next year.

Gurney's is an Inn and Spa...restaurant on the premises, spa services, secluded and romantic out at Montauk.

We spent a weekend at Montauk Manor (a very cold Valentine's Day!) and it was a great time.

thanks for all the suggestions! Dh liked the kitchen accessories (towels, rugs, etc.) idea too, so we're going over to Macy's tonight to see what we can find. Wish us luck!

Re: LAST MINUTE GIFT for MIL & FIL?!?

Hooray!!! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Craig and I went to Macy's last night and ended up getting a George Foreman Grill, and a really nice accessory set complete with 18 different spatulas, spoons, etc in a nice ceramic container or his parents! Oh, and a Kitchen Aid 5-in-1 accessory that Craig insisted on buying because he thought it was cool (and that he'll end up using everytime we're over there now!)We stuck with the 'new kitchen' theme and it worked out really well! After their kitchen was renovated, they have double the amount of counter space, so now they have more room for things like this! I can't wait for them to open their presents on Christmas! Thanks again for all your helpful last-minute suggestions
