last minute invites

last minute invites

ughhh...
are any of you regretting that you didnt invite certain people to your wedding?

when it came to inviting people from work it was a very political decision..stuck to bosses and long time coworkers. but now my wedding is only 2 weeks away and I'm mad at myself for not inviting a few of my friends from work. originally, i didnt think I was going to have enough room and I didnt think it was going to be in my budget...my family is gigantic...so cutting friends from work was the first cut I had to make.

now here i am, 2 weeks before my wedding, and I do have some room to invite the few people I wanted to invite in the first place.

would it be weird to invite them now? or should I just leave things along.

I know exactly what you mean...when we originally sent out our invites we had recently moved into our house...and didnt know our neighbors...now we do...but we feel awkward asking them now....but FH worked it into casual conversation...explaining that we didn't want to impose on new neighbors...but since we have gotten to know them we would love for them to be there on our special day.

I had the same situation with a friend, as the wedding was getting closer we became closer, and initially I hadn't invited her to the wedding and the invitations and RSVP date had passed, but I called her and explained that I would really like it if she would come to the wedding, and she was just so happy that I thought of her, so I am glad I invited her, even if it was last minute.

I say if you're friendly with them and it would make you happy....go for it. Most people understand how expensive weddings are these days and last minute invites are sometimes expected. I would be thrilled to get a last minute invite from a friendly coworker.

I would definitely invite them. Just explain how much you would love them to be there. I am sure they will be happy to come.

Do it, we did so with a few as well.....people were fine with it...just explain.
