Last minute no

Hey guys... my wedding is in 3 days and I got a call that my dads uncle and his wife cant make it... do I call the reception hall or just let it be and they will figure out the new total when I get there? I have already paid for every person, and gave the seating charts...

I don't know exactly how it will work, but you can try calling the hall and seeing if they can refund you. I mean it's better 3 days rather than the day of right?

Most halls take your final count and that's it - you can add on and pay extra, but I doubt they will let you subtract and refund you. I've never heard of any hall doing that, so there's probably no need to figure out a new total. Just let the two chairs be there, you can ask them to remove them when you get there if you want.

I wouldn't even call them. Who know...maybe a few extras will show up (trust me, that's happened to a lot of people). U may get a few more changes in the next few days anyways.

Then of coursse there are those lovely people who RSVP yes and don't show up.

I doubt they will refund u. Our place let us take home the extra dinners bc some rude losers didn't show up.

Ditto.

You won't get a refund, but ask the hall to package up the dinners for you or your parents to take home.
My in-laws went home with 8 dinners and a box of pastries.

I wouldnt even tell them. I had a few no's right before and didn't say anything. They might give you the dinners at the end of the night.
