Last night I bought...

Last night I bought...

my votive placecard holders!

I was so happy to get them! They were on sale 2 for $1 at AC Moore on Union Turnpike.

I know already though that they are going to cause me the biggest headache!

...but it's still worth it if they end up looking like this!

p.s. okay these aren't exactly the ones that I got, I got the ones that have stems, they look like little glasses almost but you get the idea. . .

AC Moore did NOT have them. They thought I was crazy when I was explaining it, definitely try Michaels but call first so you don't waste a trip.

the only AC Moore that I have found that carries them is the one in Queens on Union Turnpike. They are also the only store that puts them on sale.

They were on sale about 3 weeks ago and I missed it so I kept watching for the flyers and they finally went on sale again this week.

I've seen it done by quite a few girls a the Fox Hollow and when I met with their house florist I literally told him that I wanted as many candles in that room as possible without having to call the fire department and his reply was 'done'

I asked my BM anyway though and he said it was fine.

Thanks for thinking of it though!

the one in carle place had no idea what was going on when I asked them about the vellum for the votive candles. It could be that I wasn't wording it correctly.

oooooooooooooooohhhh I thought you were talking about the votives themselves!

I haven't started searching for the paper yet. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to have to buy sheets of vellum and cut them to size

I did a trial of that, a lot harder than it sounds! My major problem is trying to get the vellum on the candle. I've used double sided tape and you can see the tape through the vellum so it doesn't look too good. Then I bought the spray on glue but you can see the little spritz marks, I even tried taking a brush and rubbing it on smoothly but it doesnt work! Sticky vellum paper would be the answer to all my prayers.

Re: Last night I bought...

maybe they sell frosted address labels?

I know some girls use the regular clear address labels but I like the way the vellum gives the glass that frosted look. . .

we'll have to keep each other updated if we find anything in our travels!

I just bought these from oriental trading. They were 12 for $10 and you can personalize 2 lines.
