LAST QOTD 6/7/09 ~*~*~*~*~~*~*

Good morning ladies - i had a great week with you ladies - although i didnt have the 'passion' to be on here that much this week im sure it will come back. I love talking to alot of you. Here is my last QOTD & ill be announcing the new one later on tonight.

Who has had a real impact in your life & who do you admire (besides FH) i say that because my FH is so someone to admire - anyway. Id have to say my dad & step mom - they were such amazIng people (step mom still obviously not dad) anyway - he stood by me no matter what & owned his own business (very sucessful) & was just wonderful they taught me that i can do anything just try until i suceed! Those are some of the value i try instilling in my daughter - if she says i cant do it mommy - oh yes you can Em.... Try again. I think this is a great question...

I have the same answer as you - my dad and my stepmom. My dad has done so much for us kids and my stepmom has really picked up the pieces where my real mom dropped the ball....

I have to say my grandma. My mom wasn't in my life as a child and isnt really now so my grandma really took over that role for me. She is the most positive person i know and no matter what the circumstance, will always make the time to sit down and talk with me. She's taught me how to cook and clean and organize-all the things i'm going to need to know as a wife and when i have my own house. And while being this amazing person, she's also battling cancer for the second time in her life but yet she hasnt stopped living her life. She goes to bookclubs and out to lunch and dinner with friends....oh yeah and she still works and shes 75. Honestly, if anyone inspires me to be a good person and if i look up to anyone..it's her.

I would have to say my parents. They have an amazing marriage; they're the only ones out of all their siblings to not get divorced or separated. They have respect for each other and they instill values in me and my siblings. I'm respectful and hardworking because of the both of them. My father works very hard to give us a good life and stressed 'academic excellence' (literally, that was the only thing besides Love, Mom and Dad written on each card on my gift baskets they sent up to school) so we were motivated to do well in school. They've taken us on countless trips so we could experience travel and made it fun to hang out with family...

I'm mushy...I love my parents!!!!

Definitely my parents. We've had our ups and downs but I feel they've gone above and beyond to provide only the best for my sisters and me. I may not always agree with them, but they're the smarteest, most caring people I know, and I owe them credit for all that I've become!

Hmmm... probably my parents... they have always been supportive of my decisions as an adult no matter how crazy or off the wall the seemed to them.

I would have to say my Dad. He has been through so much. He retireed from the fire department after 9/11, he was depressed and was not himself. It took him awhile but now he is starting to getting back to normal. It amazes me that he knows so much about life. My Dad is one of those people who doesnt know how to put himself first. Everyone always comes before him. He is always there for my family, the good, bad and ugly. I have a close relationship with my Dad, he is my buddy

Also my parents. I wouldn't be who I am today without all of their help and support. I've learned everything I know (good and bad) from them, and I can't thank them enough.

my grandfather (who passed away this December )...i was not close and am still not close with my dad and not very close with the rest of my family either. i was always grandpa's little girl growing up and even when i was young i aspired to be a person like him. he really came from nothing, was so poor and grew up to be such a sucessful business man. he was so kind to children, just loved them and if he wasnt drafted after my father was born woulda had many more. he never went to college and always regreted it but was so smart. just a few years ago when he was like 85, he went to paralegal school and drove like an 2 hours roundtrip back and forth to the school, lol. he was a great husband and the best grandpa. i wish i could be half the person he was.

My Dad. He does everything for everyone, and never complains about it. He goes through a lot and never complains about it. He's just really chill, relaxed, & caring. He's the most wonderful father in the entire universe, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to raise me.

my mother without a doubt, she was able to raise 2 kids on her own barely speaking english and no family here and gave us everything we ever wanted and more, she is undeniably the bravest and strongest woman i know, and im so unbelievably happy that she found my stepdad who is also a very amazing person

My parents, I admire them because they have come a long way. They have been my backbone, they are so strong and no matter what the situation was or is they were always able to say it will be fine. They are my inspiration, is a matter of fighting for what you want and working hard for it, I definitely admire them for everything they have done for us.

My mother and grandfather...My grandfather is just the one person in my life who has always been my 'star' He taught me how to maintain my morals, keep my head on my shoulders and to try to laugh at life, not take it so serious. My mother and I have come a LONG way from where we once were. I can now honestly say that, besides FH, my mother is my best friend. She is what I imagined a working mother would be. She's strong, speaks her mind, intelligent, caring...If you asked me at 16 if I was going 'turn into my mother' I would have laughed in your face and said I would be total opposite from her and she just wasnt a person I looked up to. Ask me now (on a good day lol) and I will tell you I am proud of who my mother raised me to be and I am just like her in all these little ways.

MY parents and grandparents have had the biggest impact of my life. Without them I dont think Id be the strong person I am today. They have given me everything in the way of teaching me the rights and wrongs of life. They are my inspirations.

I totally admire my FSIL. She has raised such a smart and amazing son and I give her 2000% credit for being a single mom in this world and dealing with his father who hasnt always been the best.

my parents!
they were able to move with 2 small children to Israel having only 600 bucks in their pockets! they gave us everything, and taught me how important family - its one unit . they also taught me to be a hard worjking person that I am today.
they gave up soooo much for me and my brother. they preferred to starve only for the 2 of us not feel as if we're missing anything.
when I moved here they still give and give and give (eventho their financial situation right now is not good).
such loving and strong ppl, I'm tearing up as I think of them... miss them sooooo much!

great question Dana
