Late Intro

Hi Ladies... (and a few fellas)

I am still pretty new, but have posted a bit. I never thought tointroduce myself. Oops!

My name is Christina. I am 34 and live in Brooklyn, NY. My FH's name is Stuart. We've been together for a lil over 5 yrs when he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him this past January. I am excited and a bit stressed all at once.

I just want to say that I am learning a lot from this site and really appreciate the advice everyone has given so far.

We haven't set a date yet...which is causing stress. We plan on it being in 2010. We are looking at RHs now.

Thanks!

Re: Late Intro

HI Christina!!

Don't stress about the date. I was like that at first. The best thing to do is go to RH halls to get price ranges and availability of dates. If you are having a church ceremony, also find out what dates are available.

Then pick a date that works for both RH and church and that will work for you as well. My date changed 5 times, but in the end I got the best date for the best price that worked for both RH and church.

Good Luck to you and if you have any questions, feel free to ask us!!

Re: Late Intro

Well...I plan on inviting 73 ppl (so far) lol.. So we are expecting close to 150...

I am so indecisive b/c FH is too... so we are trying to compromise. I'm moe of the laid back have fun type of chick with a family of partiers (the Irish/Italian side). His family may be a lil more formal on the wedding front, but his brothers are big partiers too. We all love to dance.

If we find a place way out East, we'll have the ceremony at the RH, if we find a place bt. Brooklyn and Nassau, we'll have a ceremony at a church... LOL...

I would love to find a place with good food. My only requirement since I am a foodie and so is FH. FH prefers DJ...so any recs are welcome.

So...the only things I'm sure of...
US
my favors... LOL
our bridal party
Table naming

About it. Our guests will range bt. 100 - 150. I'd like a budget friendly place too..only cause I was laid off and not sure how long it will take for me to find a new job...

Thanks!
