latest update on MIA caterer (long)
RECAP: as some of you read previously.... 4 weeks b4 my wedding, the caterer i had set up went MIA. she needed to get insurance papers to venue, and there was no where to be found. we did everything we could to find her... NADA.
we were able to find a PLAN B. so, things are moving along.
LESS THAN TWO WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING, SHE CALLS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i didn't want to answer, so it went to voice mail. she left a message AS IF NOTHING WAS WRONG. she was happy and bubbly and calling me 'honey' and 'sweety' and telling me how it was going to be wonderful.
i FREAKED!!!!!!!!! to put the icing on the cake (pun intended), she asks me for the VENUE NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER!!!! she had sworn up and down that she had already spoken to the wedding coordinator at the venue... then how is it that she doesn't even know the name of said venue????
so, i did what any blushing bride-to-be would do. i let my fh handle it. he called her and asked for our deposit back. she said i had signed a contract that stated it was non-refundable. I DID NOT. he informs her that i did not, she THEN states that i initialled the menu with 'approval' written on it. I DID NOT. so.... fh told her, 'fax it to me! my fw has signed a lot, maybe she did. so fax it. if you can produce said menu, we'll leave you alone. if you don't have her initials, we want our money back'
the fax has yet to arrive. so he called again and told her that if we don't have our money by the time we get back from our hm, she can expect a call from our (fictitious) lawyer.
the nerve!!!!!!!!!!!!!
she kept changing her story. she even tried pulling the 'sick child' card with fh. he was so cool, calm, and collected. i was so proud of MY MAN defending HIS WOMAN!
this concludes our latest chapter in 'The Saga of The Missing Caterer'
stay tuned for the next chapter when liz and john get their money back
thanks for reading
