Sorry don't like bachata so I can't help you there.

One of my favorite merengue songs for a long time is Elvis Crespo- Suavement...don't ask me why. I have alot more but I am bad with names and stuff. I am thinking for you.

Hi! Not a Bachata fan here either... but as far as merengue goes, I love 'El Negro' as well as 'Suavemente' as mentioned above!

I love Elvis Crespo's Suavamente. I was talking about that song this morning, telling my friend at work that we used to go crazy at the old Copa when they played that song. I will have to think of two others, I know the songs but not the titles

I am not really a bachata fan either (sorry) but will ask the chicas at work for suggestions for you.

It's not new music, but I love Juan Luis Guerra's music... he has a few bachatas and they are sooooo romantic. Let me know if you need titles.. I will have to look for them at home. Off the top of my head, one is 'Burbujas de Amor.'

heyy chicas que pasa?? I like a lot of merengues but I also cannot remember all the names/ titles

I know Oro Solido is kinda old but I like them, remember--'Tangita roja' 'hasta las 15!'

I like Fulanito -- 'Merengue Ripiao' (sp?)

ooh & I also luv Milly's merengues (she has a duet with Elvis Crespo too)

If you want to go way back- El Coco Band was real good --'Ese Faldita', 'Abusadora' as well as Fernandito Villalona...

all this talk makes me want to get up & dance

too bad i'm at work!

for merengue I forgot to mention Alex Bueno & Los Hermanos Rosario!

For Bachata -- I agree that Juan Luis Guerra is real good--other good bachateros (i don't know the name of their songs) are: Alex Rosario, Antony Santos, Raulin Rodriguez, Ruben del Rio...
