im 1/2 italian 1/2 dominican
my fi was born in colombia and adopted at birth by italian/hungarian parents...

can we actually post pics of make up trials or makeup inspirations?
i see plenty of fair skin makeup pics, not enough olive/dark sking makeup

Oh cool! I'm 1/2 Dominican too (and 1/2 Salvadoran) and my FH is Colombian (born there) too!

YAH we can, that's what this thread is here for!! isn't that a great pic of her?? i went on latina.com to get inspiration and when i saw her face i was like OMG i need that look i'm going this week to try it out! def post pics for us darker skin mamacitas!

I recommend Karen A. she's worked with all skin tones and didn't have a problem with mine (she's also a LIW vendor)

Mine will call me sometimes to ask whats that thing you make that's sorta kinda like a Jamaican beef patty but better?

I say Empanadas? he's like yeah he calls them Em-pah-nas-nas

yes,I feel your pain and frustrations!
well i had a makeup trial from a very high end makeup artist- his price was $400
so i went for a trial so that i can use his expertise and have someone else duplicate it! ha! sneaky, i know! anyhow, i have a trial with Kacey from Khoulads beauty and I will gladly post pics. her price was just right! At one point i would have spent $300 on makeup and than i came to my senses! not to mention i spent a ton of money on other things...

chicas - how would you describe her eyeshadown in this pic? i had a sephora artist try to duplicate it, but she gave me all smokey eyes instead of what jaslene has in this pictures. sorry to bug ya'll but i'm an idiot when it comes to make up description. I need to know, I'm gonna get this look done tomorrow! gracias!

Lupita, her eye makeup in that pic is not smokey... hmmm, if you brought her the pic, she should have been able to replicate it more or less. I'm having trouble describing it but I'm sure someone else can help!

I totally did bring her the pic! I guess she just focused on the fact that the sides of her eyes are semi smokey and decided to go all out with the smokeyness... :sigh: hopefully they'll get it right next time!

lol! nopers, tomorrow i'm switching it up and going to someone else.

eh, i figure since it's not really a trial, i can get away with not posting pics! hah! i just walked up to the sephora counter last week and let her have her way with me but she OD'd on blush and the smokey eye look i def was not feelin so no point in posting...but if it goes well tomorrow i'll def post!

ooh cool! let us know how it goes! i dunno who's using her, i'm cheap and trying to get ideas from free sephora consultations...that isn't going so well right now, so if denise works out for you let me know!
