Okay .. I hate to admit this, but I am a bad latina... I love spanish music but never know who the artists are..
I like music by Celia Cruz, Elvis Crespo, Marc Anthony..
Any other good salsa songs out there, I want my family dancing all night...lol

I'm shameful too. I love the music but have no idea who is singing. Luckily my DJ is latin so I'm leaving it up to him!

Tito Rojas, Victor Manuelle. I think Billysbride got the rest that are really good.

Re: Latina Brides.. question about salsa music..
My FH is Puerto Rican and likes the music but never knows the names of songs or the singers, I would love to have salsa playing during our reception, we should get a thread going for the best salsa/latin songs with the names and artists.

I recommend Bebel Gilberto's album, Tanto Tempo. Beautiful, sorta retro/cocktail songs -- perfect for a wedding. All different tempos -- some songs are more upbeat than others.

I thought the same thing about Divabride when I read this....I said, she is going to fill us all in. I am so clueless..... Marc Anthony, Jerry Rivera, Titi Rojas, Tito Nieves are just some I can think of right now.

Re: Latina Brides.. question about salsa music..
I think the Gipsy Kings are really nice for cocktail hour music: Bem, Bem, Maria; Bamboleo are 2 of my faves....
Also: Celia Cruz 'Tu Voz' and 'La Vide Es Un Carnivale' is nice, and of course 'Ria y Llora'
Tonio Rosario 'La Ultima Copa' and 'Hasta Que No Puede Mas'
Gloria Estefan 'Hoy' is nice and some of her other stuff.....

Re: Latina Brides.. question about salsa music..
Well, I have to admit I cant name any of Marc Anthony's songs, but I love his voice. One of his English songs 'Because of you' will be our wedding song.
Im not one for bachata, but I enjoy salsa and merengue. I cant name any songs for you but I love the way brenda k starr sings and I also love La India. I used to be a big fan of DLG, too!! What was the lead singers name? Luis.......
But dont get me started with dancing. I have two left feet when it comes to salsa and merengue.

Get out... NO WAY!! I don't believe you...lol
FH & I are going to take Salsa lessons, I am not as good a dancer as my sister or mom, but I can hold my own. But Mikey wants to learn, which will be cute, for being hearing-impaired, he can move those hips..It's the cutest thing.. (don't tell him I called his dancing cute, he'd kill me) He likes Regaee Music, that's how I found out he can move on the dance floor, so I told him, if you can dance that you can dance salsa..
I don't care for batcha or meregue too much, just a few songs..so I feel ya on that one. And Because of you is a beautiful song...
