How do you usually clean your Queen size or larger comforter?
I want to put the new comforter on the bed, but I need to wash it but IDK if I should take it to the laundromat or the dry cleaner or what. I ddon't want it to fade or lose it's shape or anything since we haven't used it yet.
I've always just had crap before, so I didn't care, I threw it in the washer and and dried in the dryer, but these are nice linens so I want to take care of it!

Re: Laundry question
We use a quilt in the spring, summer and fall - I can throw that in the washer at home no problem. I take my comforter in the winter to the dry cleaners - it's too big for a washer.

Re: Laundry question
depends on the material...we have a king size soft cotton one with poly fill...i bring it to the laundry mat and use their triple size washers and dryers. to help keep the shape put tennis balls in the dryer with it (at least thats what they told me lol)

Re: Laundry question
Laundromat. Use a large front loader
Then use tennis balls in the dryer to keep it evenly fluffy

Re: Laundry question
if it is a nice comforter u def don't wanna put in the washing machine, I'd bring it to the dry cleaners. I also have a crappy one right now but because ut's so old I just throw it in the machine and dryer

Re: Laundry question
It depends - if it is machine washable take it to the laundromat. But if the label says dry clean only - off to the dry cleaners you go.

Re: Laundry question
the comforter should come with an instructions tag - what does it say on that? i have two and one i can wash at home but the other needs to be dry cleaned
