LAURELTON GARDENS

Hi -

I am looking for some information on the area of LAURELTON GARDENS queens. I am curious about the area and surronding neighborhoods. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Isn't that by the airport? All those areas down there are so-so IMO. Nothing incredibly bad... but not spectacular either.

Rosedale, South Ozone Park, etc. come to mind.

WOW....Laurelton Gardens....my mother and father used to live there in the 70's. They had a two bedroom apartment and paid like 300 a month!

The area used to be good...I'd look elsewhere. My DH used to live right around there. I heard there was a lot of robberies around that area.

I have / had friends that lived in the Gardens and they liked it... Both I and DH grew up in Rosedale which is the neighboring area. It used to be great and I still have family there, but it's going downhill... IMO I would move there for a few years, but not buy a house and raise kids. Hope this helps.
