I have been on lexisnexis all day and cant find any state ( NJ state) or federal laws for duty to warn with people with HIV, or maybe breaking confidentiality with people with HIV. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I need laws and codes for school.( Ima therapist in training!) Im just not having any luck! Thanks to anyone who can help me!!!

I know in NY if you are infected and you don't warn a partner, it's considered a felony.

I live in NJ and I have to find Nj laws and federal laws and I have to show the numbers to the laws, as if I were the counselor and a client told me he was infected but wasnt telling his partners..I am not supposed to break confidentiality, but duty to warn says I can if he could hurt someone...but I need to prove the laws on it. My Prof said it would be in lexis nexis..but I cant find ANYTHING!!! UGH! its frustrating!! Thanks though for trying to help me!!!

man..I did google, but I think I was being too specific..I need to also find out about breaking confidentiality and so I think i was entering too many words at once..but I found it..so I am on my way to getting this done!!! Thanks so much!!!
