I know i have had a million registry questions, I am a bit obsessed...
Does anyone have those Le Creuset french oven things? I registered for one but it was over 200 and I thought that was a bit much, and then found Rachel Ray's Dutch oven that looks very similar and is a lot less money!
Are they pretty much the same or are the Le Creuset ones really that much better! both you can use on the stovetop or in the oven, Rachel Ray's is not dishwasher safe and the other one is....

We have the Le Creuset French Oven and honestly, it's amazing. Everything cooks so evenly. If you're into cooking, it's worth the money. Someone gave it to us as a gift and we were really happy bc it also completed our set!

Lodge and tramontina are highly rated and MUCH cheaper for dutch oven's.

I love Le Creuset... but to be honest i have the Rachel Ray 10 piece set (pots and pans) and i put the rest of her cookware line on my registry... the stuff is soooo easy to cook with, clean and its a nice looking set!!!!

I have a le creuset french oven thing but i havent used it yet (I just had to have it though!)
I have the LC panini press and I obsessed!
No experience with the Rachael Roy products.

I never used a le cruset item but I have a rachel ray pot and pan set and its awsome. Good quality, cooks evenly and easy to clean. So imagine the dutch oven is good.

On Amazon, Le Creuset dutch ovens all have 4-1/2 or 5-star ratings.
Rachael Ray's dutch ovens only have 2-1/2 and 3-star ratings, which is really low for that site.
I'd go Le Creuset, all the way.

Le Creuset has a great reputation, always have long lasting products.
Rachel Ray products are basically just a name, people just want the name. The quality isn't that great.

ITA - Le Crueset is awesome and so easy to cook with...plus they have a Lifetime warranty on their products...my Mom had a pot that was at least 30 yrs old from them - she sent it back and they replaced it with a brand new pot!
