Leaky shower! Update: DRIP DRIP DRIP!!!!

OK - it all started last week when I was visitng Gma in Florida, and I hear my stepmom's loud voice on the other end of the phone talking to my Gma (cordless - Gma could have left the room!)

' Waaa waaa waa waa Liza's SHOWER... wah wah wah wah... SOMETIME IN APRIL... wah wah wah...'

So I say - Ummm - I'm leaving the room now... and ran out... Gma is like 'sure yes, I can be available anytime - just let me know...'

Then she asks me why I left the room - I'm like - 'Uh - you were talking about my shower???'

Gma, ever so swift - says 'You heard that? Umm - I mean we were talking about the SEDERS - not your shower.... sorry - you misunderstood...'



Then - one of my best friends, who is my BM, tells me yesterday, 'I hate to do this - I know I shouldn't, but I need to know who you'd want at your shower, because Angelo gave me a list, and I'm afraid he forgot someone - I don't want to leave someone out, so I'll need a list from you!'

So, now I'm part of the planning process! I wrote out a list, asked my stepmom if she knows who she's inviting, called her - she said she's all set, but let her know how many will be there!

I'm like - I am getting out of this loop immediately - I already know too much - YOU find a way to find out!!!

So, I still don't know what exactly, or where, or how - but the shower has leaked!!!!

OH NO!!!! Just try your best from today on to walk out of the room (as you've done) when you think you'll hear something you shouldn't. That stinks...I want mine to be a surprise too and people are already trying to involve me in the process.

OK - so, heres the deal - I scheduled a menu meeting and tasting for Saturday Apr 29th at 7:00. My stepmom told me to ask my dad if they were available as he has their schedule on outlook. So I had lunch with him today, he said - OH no - I have a big doo wop show to go to that night (he's a HUGE doo wop nut!) and I said - and you'd rather go there then to the Harborclub for my wedding??? And he said yes.

I was annoyed and upset, and told my self - the shower better be that night or he's gonna get it....

After lunch, I had a voice mail from another BM telling me she is having a get together Sat Apr 29th for a surprise party for her husband's birthday - and only a few close friends are invited...

Coincidence???

Take it from someone who chose the date for her shower No matter what, even if you know, it's such an incredible experience walking in and seeing everyone that is close to you there for YOU. To me, it almost felt like I was walking into a surprise shower! Enjoy this time, don't stress about it too much!!!

If you instinct is correct, don't let on you know, they've been working hard at this for you!!!

I won't - I promised myself to go along with the 'surprise!'

I don't understand why thats a big deal. they just want to make sure they have everyone you would want there. My mom asked me the same thing amoung a lot of other things.
