Learn as you go... (kinda lengthy but worth it!)
So the FH and I attended a wedding last night and I'm so happy for my friend and her now DH. There were many things that went wrong though and it made me think wow i really need to nai lthis stuff down before my own wedding! I just wanted to share! I dont think i would have thought of this stuff. If you would like the name of the reception hall FM me.
So from the begining the cocktail hour was suppose dot start at 7:15p.m. People had arrived early than that and were waiting to go in. We got there about 7:20 and people were still standing outside. Well turns out they didnot have the room ready.....so at 7:30 we were let in to enjoy the cocktail hour! (not a huge deal)
So while mingling and munching during the cocktail hour i ventured to find the bathroom and noticed that there was another wedding going on in the main room. Now its about 8:00pm and there DJ was still pumping. So not knowing anything about this hall i said ok maybe there is another room we will be in....NOPE! SO the cocktail hour turned into a cocktail 2 hours and the native were getting restless! THats right we did not get seated until 9:30. I am assuming they kicked the otherparty out becuase when i walked by agian they were just rolling out tables and covering them with linens! THey had not even set up yet!...............................Ummmm scheduling problem I think so!
So finally they let us in we sat down around 945-10pm the waitress immediately took our order. THe announcements were made and everyone was dancing or getting drinks. Unfortunately my friend got her drink and 4 otheres at our table spilled down the back of her dress! SHe was soaked! and it would not have been that bad if it was not so cold in the place! ( these things happen you cant change them people make mistake I do did waitressing and have spilled things on myself and others) THe banquet manageer did the right thinkg and asked for the dry cleaning bill and the receipt for the dress itself he wanted to pay for it! Moving on now its oh 1100 and the pasta course comes. dinner at about 1130 1145. THings went smoothly form there until after the cake cutting!

SO everyone is served cake and the DJ makes an announcement ' if you own a trail blazer please come up to the DJ booth' SO my firends date looks up and says ok i do so he goes up there they show him a picture on a camera and a look of horror comes over him! My friend runs up there and starts to walk with him and she gives us that uhoh look! Well it was no 130am and we decided it was time to leave.
Going outside there is a truck parked inthe middle of the parking lot. One of those pickup trucks that has the four wheel in the back ya know two on each side so this thing is huge!
Turns out the valet had whipped around the corner and took off the whole front end of my friend's dates brand new trail blazer!
I mean no bumper no headlight GONE!
THe banquest mananger was out there saying things about how he thinks that they are insured and blah blah blah!
They called the cops to make a report!
Now im thinking like most of you they have these kids that re barely legal driving these cars and they can't handle them! WRONG again! Both valets were well over teh age of 35!
Ladies PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you know who your getting if you have valet parking and I never thought I would have to ask but accidents do happen and find out what their procedure is if this happens!
