Re: LEasing a Car in Florida!
If you try to lease a car in flroida it is not cheaper because you still have to pay the rules of NYS because this is where you live. and right now is not the best time to lease becasue the rates are not good and car dealers are losing money on leases.. it is actually cheaper to finance a car. right now.. this is IMO becasue we are looking for a new car now

Re: LEasing a Car in Florida!
It depends on the promo that's running. And the other depends on the car that you're looking at. Most high end cars are more affordable thru lease as opposed to purchase. Jaguar for example runs a very good lease program. The only thing that's really cheaper is the tax if have a florida address. We currently lease a 03 jeep, there was no special financing for purchase, so we leased it cause was cheaper due to the rebate on the lease.
ETA: We currently live if FL

Re: LEasing a Car in Florida!
My husband's friend has their car registered in Florida. The family has a house down there so the car and the insurance is all registered in Florida. I think they get a cheaper rate.

Re: LEasing a Car in Florida!
Just make sure that the car is at the DMV for registration, cause they leave the counter and go outside with you to check the VIN number on the vehicle at the DMV. THEY WILL NOT REGISTER IT IF THEY CANNOT SEE THE CAR IN PERSON. When we moced here and I registerd my car I had to go twice cause I had my husands car the 1st time.
R&T my husband is like an expert with stuff like this, if you have any specific questions. Let me know and I'll pass them on!!
ETA: This is only for the intial registration, after that you can do it by mail. But none of this would apply if the dealership handles the registration obviously.

Re: LEasing a Car in Florida!
Nationwide has the best rate. My husband is very cheap as far as stuff like that and he wont pay any more than he has to. Especailly since we have to have full coverage. He called 7 different insurance companies b4 this one. I'll see if I can find the paperwork and tell you what we pay. Granted our car is not as expensive as a Hummer, but I'll see if I can give you a comparison as far as the difference from NY to FL.
