What part of the wedding planning process has been your least favorite? For me... BM dresses caused far too much stress. Glad that is over!

Invitations are proving to be the biggest PITA, but choosing music is right behind that....

Having to call people who didn't RSVP. Like my cousins. I love my cousins, I see them at family gatherings, but I don't talk to them on the phone, generally. But, no card came back from two sets of cousins--a brother and sister, in fact. I called each of them twice, left messages. Did they call me back? Nope. I don't know what to do now when I see them again at Christmas or whenever. Be like, 'hey, how ya doing? How could you have been so ******* rude not to tell me you were coming or not when I invited you to my wedding?'

Exactly. So what happened? I had the same thing, but I was pretty sure they weren't going to show up, it was a long drive for both of them, and I figured if they were coming, they would have someone know.
Posted by faithandkevin I couldn't stand waiting for those last few responses and having to get in touch with people to see if they were coming or not! I did'nt even want to talk to people who wouldn't send it back, let alone hound them for their response. But I was also scared they would show up!

I definately have to say writing the checks! Everytime I write one out I get a little dizzy
Other than that, sorting out the guest list was a huge PITA since we need to keep it small & I didn't like having to choose certain vendors. I'm terrible at making decisions.

For me it's been waiting on other people - I'm putting together family cookbooks for the favors - I sent out requests for recipes in the begnning of April, then spoke with everyone on the phone(at which time everyone seemed excited about the idea and eager to help), then sent a follow up request in May, another in the beginning of June and then a final one last week saying - I'm typing everything out this weekend, if I don't have a recipe you aren't going in the book (in much nicer language of course)
as of today about 25% of the people have contributed recipes. Nice!

I'll say sticking to a budget...man I wish money was no object
but also invites...just choosing one was the most drawn out thing for FH and I...and we haven't even gotten to the addressing, stuffing, mailing headache!

My least favorite part is hearing people ask 'So how are the wedding plans coming' at least 5 times a day! For the past year and a half!!
i swear, once you're engaged, it replaces talking about the weather as a filler subject. of conversation. Am I right?
Besides that.....writing checks and getting late RSVPs!! (I have 1 more to get - damn slackers)

OMG~ So darn true. The same people ask me constantly...I'm like nothing new since you asked yesterday. What are they going to talk to me about after we're married?

It does becomes the filler sub!!!!!!! That is waaaay too funny!!! I;ve only been engaged for not even 2 months yet and that is topic of convo... I hardly have looked at anything! Leave me alone for now! When you are more excited than the damn bride... thats a problem You need to find a hobby!!!!

Yes worrying about the money, but I imagine thats is something everyone has to do. I hate making decisions, either something jumps out at me and I just know, or having to settle on something I can afford!!!!! I hate making decisions!!!
